  1. Gary, must post pics
  2. In Stormy Nights is my favorite Ghost album.
  3. John Zorn - Filmworks XIX The Rain Horse
  4. The GlassJar kits aren't assembled.
  5. I'm in for a S22 kit through GlassJar without tranny if that is possible.
  6. I'm going to suggest the obvious, but did you try replacing the tubes? Or swapping tubes to see if the distortion moves to the other channel?
  7. Happy birthday!!
  8. I'll check that out.
  9. That sort of sounds like a Pentium M? (Centrino) IIRC I remember reading the 1.8 GHz Pentium M was roughly equivalent to the Socket 478 Pentium 4 3.06 GHz.
  10. Bit more on modded T50RP vs modded HP-1. The Yamaha midrange is just so addictive and good. It's not as extended top or bottom, but the mids are so yummy (my second favorite mids in a headphone, and I am ranking them over the K1000). Tonally the T50RP is a bit strange. Playing back piano pieces, the tone sounds off. That's the best way I can describe it, like everything sounds a half octave or octave off. Piano is it's biggest pitfall and interestingly this doesn't manifest itself so much on other instruments though it's still there. Both are great rock headphones, but like my favorite SR-007, the Yamaha has more finesse over the Fosty
  11. ... Regarding the professional review front- maybe the reason many reviewers don't compare what they're reviewing to other products is they might actually have to say something *gasp* negative about the product being reviewed
  12. They're not as refined/transparent as the modded Yamaha, but they're still good.
  13. John Zorn - Filmworks XIV Hiding and Seeking
  14. Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers - Africaine
  15. The T50RP are good when modded especially given how cheap they are. I will try some torture test music tomorrow.
  16. resolved...
  17. It's either j-pak, jpak or deepak. I haven't logged in, in a long time. I think what made it hard about cataloging was "rating" your music. I rate most of the crap I own fairly highly...which is why I own it, so it didn't seem to make sense when I was giving most things over a 3.0
  18. I have an account there and attempted to catalog my music as well. After a handful laziness kicked in and I gave up I think I broke the 3000 barrier for CDs sometime this month (or last) :-0
  19. Is RateYourMusic a good site for finding new bands?
  20. Now I feel he is just genuinely being disingenuous as he had this in the first post of the meet organization thread: The "Victim of Success spin" is really a crock
  21. John Zorn - Filmworks XIV Hiding and Seeking
  22. And yet the most balanced orthos are the ones with average sized drivers. The T50v2 (and clones) with these massive drivers have extremely poor treble response. In the world of electrostats, where the SR-007 driver isn't that big, it probably has the best bass, extension and depth of any electrostatic headphone. It's all good in theory that large drivers = good. But it has to translate into real world examples as well.
  23. IMO that's a huge over simplification which I disagree with.
  24. Welcome aboard orto-head I received my T50RP (with new style pads ), time to start modding them.
