  1. Breaking Bad is probably my favorite show on TV right now. Season 4 was spectacular and I have high hopes for 5. It's always good when a show gets to end on its own terms, although it kind of sucks how they are splitting it in half to drag it out

    HD650 for $299 https://www.shorelinemusic.com/closeouts/closeout-sennheiser-hd650/
  3. My pump - swiftech mcp355 - has been going strong for about 4 years now. The age of the pump was part of my motivation for getting the apogee drive as well, a little redundancy. That being said a flow meter/visualizer or whatever something like that is called is not a bad idea. You can get reservoirs with them built in like this: http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ekwaekspresd1.html
  4. Thanks, it was definitely a bit of an impulse purchase for me. My old CPU block was budget item - enzotech sapphire - and I was considering upgrading anyway. Then I saw the APDII announcement on xtremesystems and decided to go for that. 670 is a good choice I picked one up on thurs. 15% off from the newegg business sale. I don't imagine they will be under $340 again any time too soon.
  5. I've got my 3770k on hand but not running yet, waiting on my last watercooling bit to come (the new swiftech Apogee Drive II) before I tear down my old rig and upgrade everything. Upgrading from an i7 920 + ATI 4890 system.
  6. That looks really nice Milosz. How does it attach to the shaft though?
  7. You can also get piggyback or side by side quick connect terminals if you want. Like stuff here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/118/764/=hcgrcp. You then put a connector on each wire from the transformer. I would go with luvdunhill's way though.
  8. +1. He knows Texas Instruments has licensed patents from Nelson Pass right? I wonder how many of his patents a top semiconductor company has licensed...
  9. Amphenol makes many types of connectors, including metal and plastic ones. I have used plastic ones like this: http://www.mouser.co...fB9DxzgAGiSyao= as well as their more expensive metal mil-spec ones like this http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Amphenol/PT06A-14-15P-SR/?qs=1eFRaVyeUDXg%2fDJ09AOFSA%3d%3d Both work nicely, and plastic ones are fine for low voltage but I think they are only rated to 350 volts so if you are making a stat amp you will want to use the mil-spec ones.
  10. Yea I read his article but really the argument that fine pitch smd can't be DIY is BS. You can do it with a soldering iron with care or there is always the mask + solder paste method. And I don't see why one of these 'partners' couldn't sell a kit with the board and the couple hard to source chips if they aren't available in small quantities. It's not for everyone, but neither are a lot of other DIY projects. Worse yet he didn't even release the schematic. Agreed
  11. Not very happy this isn't available for DIY. That would have been my only motivation to get one of these - now I have absolutely no interest.
  12. Anyone ever have the lt021-10 voltage reference die? Had a problem with my PS recently where the plus side was only putting out about 40 volts. Of course it was the last thing I checked but when I swapped the references between positive and negative the problem followed
  13. What do you mean? Attenuator impedance is irrelevant to gain, it is simply a voltage divider. I found Khozmo to be a little slow replying to emails but everything was taken care of eventually.
  14. Congrats on the successful amp Victor it looks great! All those holes must have taken a ton of patience but the result is really nice. Happy listening!
  15. Where are you measuring the bias voltage?
  16. The 110% is with regards to voltage? That is still quite good, less than 1dB. Many pots are worse than that.
  17. What was the voltage rating on the caps?
  18. I made these exact points to him on HF and he waved the suggestions off. I have decided to stop trying to help him and sit back and enjoy the show
  19. I thought it was pretty classy that Irsay said no Colt would ever wear 18 again.
  20. Revis deserves his pay IMO Also I agree that Irsay and the colts are in no way morally obligated to keep someone like Manning but if he ends up being healthy I think it will be a mistake for them, from a perspective of royally pissing off the fan base. This is also assuming that whoever they draft can't really fill his shoes, which I think will be the case. If whoever steps in can do it relatively seamlessly then winning goes a long way to get over any lingering hard feelings.
  21. I don't think I could handle the media frenzy that would result from two Mannings in the same town although the renewed rivalry with Brady might elevate Pats - Jets as the best rivalry in football over my current favorite of Ravens - Steelers.
  22. I honestly thought I would never see the day the colts release Peyton. He basically is the colts - does anyone really think Luck/RG3 will be able to replace a once in a generation talent like him? Maybe I will be proven wrong, but I expect to see the Colts as bottom feeders for many years... If he gets healthy and back close to his top form congrats to whatever team picks him up
  23. While I appreciate the sentiment, this seems like a somewhat futile gesture. Are you planning to offer these for sale, in which case do you really expect anyone to buy one? On the other hand if you make it a DIY project with a board run it seems even less likely that anyone would build it. Nevertheless,
