  1. Lemme know what you find ojnihs... if it is just with Quicktime, that isn't a deal breaker with me as I rarely use it. Mainly I just want the ability to play games and route the sound to my hi-fi rig.
  2. For valentines day this year, we bought eachother a cat climber...
  3. I can setup airport express to output all sound from my computer? System beeps, music, video, games, etc? If so, that sounds like a pretty slick/sick solution. You are SUCH an apple pimp grawk.
  4. The Trends is only bit more and has an external PSU as well as a host of outputs... though I will likely only use Toslink anyways. It doesn't have its own drivers though. Hmmm...
  5. Hi all, Looking at getting something like the Trends UD-10. Basically just want a quick and dirty USB-Toslink convertor. Looked at the Hagerman units and they only have coax or AES/EBU. Any suggestions would be welcome. If you know of a place to get the Trends cheap, that would be great as well. Thanks, Jay
  6. I like those new WD Raptor X drives... if I were to build another fast computer and couldn't pony up the cash for a solid state drive, that is probably the way I would go for my system/game drive.
  7. In my experience, the M3 is moar bettar.
  8. Ok, we're on the same page in that case. I think that if I were to get a tiny laptop without an optical drive, I'd be looking at the EEE pc, but that is mainly because I'm a cheap bastard.
  9. Todd - That's all well and good... it still doesn't have an optical drive. I don't care how 'wireless and free' you are, that is a problem. Mike - Yeah, it must be Time Machine. Whatever it is, it is pretty cool, but not enough to justify my dads unhealthy obsession with it. If you are plugging in peripherals, that sort of cuts down on the portability. How would wirelessly using another computers optical drive work? Christ, every time I try to submit my post there is a new message... Jay - Floppy disks are getting old, optical drives are here to stay for now. Flash sticks are all well and good, but sometimes you need to install new software or throw in a music CD.
  10. Waitaminnut... it doesn't have an optical drive!?!? That's dumb.
  11. You might be right, all I know is that he has this external drive that is 1Tb, it's called 'Time Something', and it backs up his OS and allows him to turn his iMac into a pimped out Delorean...
  12. My dad has time capsule and loves it. That macbook air looks pretty cool, though I found a spelling mistake on their page, "So thin yet so expansive." ...that's expensive Apple, sheesh. [j/k] If I was to buy one, I'd definately put in the extra cash and get a solid state drive. How cool would that be?
  13. Trust me, if you count Legends, it is the let down of the series...
  14. Legends was such a let down, but this one looks pretty cool.
  15. Wow, fitz looks a lot like me when he's giving you the finger and covering up his face.
  16. MAN I fuckn want one of these things, like woah.
  17. We aren't?
  18. LOL, he was joking with the Grado thing... and that is his collection. He bought an AKG sign.
  19. I don't even have an application for the Pico at the moment, yet I want one. I do have an idea on how I could use one... but it would require further expenses. *sigh*
  20. I'm glad I'm not a fanboy of anything.
  21. If I remember correctly from my squeezeboxen days, you can also disable the volume control through slimserver which does the same thing [0db attenuation, 'true' line out]. I would imagine this would work with the SB3 and the transporter.
