Congrats man!!! Just some advice I am dealing with or learned.. dont take it to seriously cause youll get stuck on just listening to them to see if the setup/acoustics is good enough all the time and after that youll just shut them down cause your pissed...youll never be happy if you listen to critcal all the time. Room Acoustics is your god,food,and woman...But I warn you once you start looking to date the acoustics or mess with them you can easily end up with what I wrote above.. just enjoy them man...sit back for hours on end and do nothing but listen! I love doing this at night with all the lights off and falling into this weird sleep but up state... Speakers do Rule..congrats man enjoy them and of course listen to enjoy!

Hmm... The best working and weirdest to me has to be Sony discman d4 > Ray Samuel's audio sr-71 > Grado ps-1 Not sure how but its one of the best setups as far as the rite matched pieces go.. the ps-1 does benefit from the big badder amp and source yet it can easily be tamed and driven perfectly and effortlessly threw this rig...and after spending the money on the cans one may not be able to afford the source of high price..lol also the sr-71 does the Grado rs-1 the best I heard..usually with the d4 disc man.. very musical setup with loads of detail and balanced sound that even Betty Crocker could not bake! the rs-1 has to be well controlled or it gets wacky and wacky quick..any other amp I heard is either to much or to little but the SR-71 has the perfect balance for the rs-1. the source can take advantage of the less picky grado source sound so you can easily walk out with a old school discman and have some great synergy! NAD542 > Grado RA-1 > Grado sr-325 (silver) (bowls) being the forward edge of the nad or just their house sound which ever it may be this is the source on a budget. Grado $300 block of wood actually (and rarely to my ears) holds its weight in gold as far as the pricing of itself goes in this setup also. the ra-1 lack of pure sound (or somewhat true quality) works with and for the silver 325's with their bowls on. no screaming highs from them with bowl pads and all the comfort one flat can only dream.. put the silver 325 with bowls in with a great amp and good luck cause the highs will make you bleed, but not here..balanced! Computer usb > HR bithead > Grado sr125 with flats.. HR sound is not my personal taste but that's not to say anything is wrong with the Headroom sound.. the dac in the cheap and under rated bit head does a great low budget price with a mid-fi sound. the SR125's are one of Grados best bang for the buck can..pair these up and believe or not they match! its the setup of not the best sound but its enjoying and we have you nailed to your computer chair for quite awhile...lol Meridian g08 > Headamp GSX > Sensaphonics 2x-s the most perfect headphone to me and my ears is a son of a bitch on amps..and that is putting it nicely! the sensas will show you anything wrong with any amp or source if you have and give it enough time to do it. the GSX's sharp highs and the Sensas heavy lows work well they balance each other out nicely. there is a layer of Fatigue their (even more then then the bit head and sr125 setup) bit the clarity,depth,detail,imaging, and sound stage is dead on! The Sensa's mesh perfectly with the hr2 also, tighter image,more musical,less fatigue,blacker background are some of the better points here.. at times it can get mushy,to warm/bassy also... Meridian g08 > hr2 > Grado ps-1.. actually it not as much as the source but the hr2 and the ps-1 were made together from birth (actually that's true on one side). no other amp can give the ps-1 the support needed to achieve their best...some say the b52 (prototype) can do better..have not heard that one yet myself. Meridian g08 > Wheatfield > Grado hp's.. not sure what Wheatfield but it was tube rollers. the pairing of amp and can here is just soooo tubey lush you can dive in!.. there is a lot more...I post later maybe

FUnny you should say that..first off to the fullest of my actual knowledge Ray did not go to Sarjan..most likely someone named out of the three people would be my guess who did..but I actually have no proof of any. But I do know Sarjan note that was made around the time of the singlepower pic post I made (regretfully, yes I said I was sorry to Mikhail's face without lie). I got a p.m. threw head-fi from Angel Teres saying that Sarjan made a public post and had a link...which I then phoned Ray and told him. I sent him the p.m. and after he read the link on the phone he said "omg Belly..." of course he followed up with a few ha ha's..but that's the best of Ray going anywhere to Sarjan. Also May I note here that I dont actually know Sarjan but from what I heard (non head-fi people) is if you lie to him or somehow make him feel like you screwed him...well that's the last review youll get in the industry sort to say..if that's not true or it is..I dont know. but what I do know Mikhail told Sarjan not to open the amp under review because of a patent or something..well if you seen the pics and read that thread (which stated the patent issue heavily truth or lie) then what would you of done...then again that's basiclly Mikhail shooting himself in the foot for the public note from Sarjan about his review recall (if you can call it that). either way Mikhail has a new review and the award was never taken away so I guess its all good there now...plus of course Mikhail made out like a bandit after the pic post, in which I am glad and not surprised a great salesman would do. now if you know anything then please post away in the ruh duh post..please back up your statements about someone who is not on the boards.. As far as competing products I think the only thing all the amp makers is sell an amp, but each maker offers different stuff and features no one else does.. Thin about the makers and what they offer.. Ray has a buy once and leave it amp..only one way to buy it. Mikhail has a completely custom built amp, you want this and that in your product he is your man. Xin sort of the same concept SP has but only with portable. HR has crossfeed and dacs with module upgrades and such. Jan Meier has....not sure what he has..lol Eddie Current has low priced thrown together amps that sound great. Headamp has solid states and electro's with a KG design but a great build (instead of someone dealing with the likes of people like trevnetwork..they go to him). even the new guy Blackie offers not only an amp but a art peice. sure they all sell amps but each guys amps with there features are so different... well one can buy one of everything and live happily...hmm I wish I could (no funds).

First I do not think this w/e it is is aimed at the under 25 crowd.. Second Single power is a custom make amp company...Ray Might (might pending on what you want) do a small mod to an amp...but nothing more then that. Ray will never even think to compete with Mikhail. Ray and Mikhail are two different types of people running two totally different companies marketed towards two totally different people. Ray and Mikhail Should understand this.. Ray does not try to Compete against others, others try to compete against him (I.E. sr-71,Raptor). With the exception of the Hornet every product RSA has out to buy is not to compete but only to be used and enjoyed.. Mikhail basically is the same, the closest he came to Ray was SACD posting a thread about 5687 slam mins after everyone heard about the Raptors 5687 tube's...either Mikhail Copied the idea and had SACD be the shill on head-fi...or it was just the timing of both going out on headfi using the 5687 was almost dead on...take it either way you want to on it..I personally have better things to do then even think of who did what when bullshit. Like I said before about Ray always working on something somehow, I think the last I checked he had 6-7 different products being worked on...most likely 5 won't make the light of Day. well the preamp changes between the gsx or the ca2, but the power amp is the Adcom gfa545,dynaudio 122 speakers,old mit IC's,cardas speaker cable,and either using it as a computer audio rig or with an old naka cdp I got for free. like I said its the old stuff I didnt sell yet... and as far as headphone amps go I can easily switch out any of the "extra" ones I have laying around..

I have been down this road before I say yes, one setup should be balls out reference rig! the other is the left over shit that didnt make the cut from rig one..and your to lazy to ship or sell well thats my second setup anyway.
