Shorly, I'm powering down my trust Macintop and taking in to the Genius Bar, to have the following issues resolved: Firewire port does not work, plastic pins are missing Trackpad doesn't work, it won't "unclick" keyboard stops working randomly, often after laptop has been asleep cooling fan runs (nearly) constantly HDD has become noisy recently I imagine I'll be without it for over a week. That means I'll be stuck with crappy Dell running XP.

Those are the main three. Srs bsns photographers use larger diffusers that have a gel frame on the front surface, and then use whatever color and density gel they want (1/2 and 1/4 CTO gels are popular.) I considered going that route (and may end up doing it yet) but I don't really any anything that big, ungainly and fragile inside the chaotic environment of a nightclub. I've got a long-ish post about strobes I've been meaning to write in the Photography thread, but I haven't quite gotten around to it.

3x diffuser domes for my 580EX speedlite. I'm probably going to end up buying a few more + remote cord before the week is out. I also need a timer remote.

I like the view-through-the-columns shot, Salty. I might try it at -1/3 or -2/3 EV, however. The columns themselves wouldn't suffer from being darker, and you'd get more detail on the building behind. I went and saw a local 2-piece band last Thursday. The shots of them weren't very interesting, but afterward I took a few pix of my friend Alyssa outside the bar. 17-40L @ 23mm, F/4, 1/30th, ISO1250. 30D's white balance was set to fluorescent. No edits at all.
