I don't thnik the Senn 600s are that bad. As far as the K1000s,, they may sound good, but for looks they are bleh.

The RS-1s are ok... out of my laptop that is. The build quality really makes the HF-1 look pretty crappy. And they seem lighter to boot. I've been too lazy to turn on my tube amps and haven't really been motivated lately to do a dedicated listen. They are a bit bright though.. atleast ATM they are. I tend to get annoyed with stuff as time passes.

in te last year I haven't gone through quite as many: HD580 (went from 1 to 3 pair) CD3000 woodied with Silver Dragon cable HD595 120 ohm - umcomfortable K1000 x 2 (sold one pair). Just got the RS-1s last Friday

While I can't say if the B22 is the top of the line SS amp out there, if that is the case for the Apache that it retains the RSA house sound, then that totally doesn't interest me. The RSA stuff I've heard has this funky "warmth" to it, wit the bass being splatty and not tight. I can see why people mistake that as hi fidelity and quality , but I really don't think that it is, especially becasue I've heard it on stuff that I've been to live and performed in.

I'm almost chomping at the bit to see what trose purchases next. I'm surprised he didn't jump all over the Apache, since he loves the HR2.
