you and your super expensive setup. I'm getting by with this. that balanced transformer thing cost way more than the rest of the rig combined. but they say balanced is the way to go so I suppose it's worth it.

well, I sure am not bringing my SDS-XLR after being conned into doing so for the SF meet. boy that was a huge mistake. I think you'll like my balanced CMOY. you can fit it in a pocket.

you know I'm posting my interpretation of "lucky guy" from when someone found a picture of me and the R10's, and since I didn't like him posting I did a quick drawing and replaced the pic on photobucket.

someone told me that I was misinformed about the meets and I agree that the Cinci meet is way cooler than the Saratoga meet could ever be. thus I've acquired plane tickets to Cinci and will change my attendance to that.

he has that part covered quite well doesn't he? I'm too lazy to want to pack the SDS-XLR back into the crates and haul them to some shipping company, so it won't be happening either way.

it's a bit tricky since the connector is only made to accept 30 to 28 AWG, with the 24 AWG wire being roughly the same diameter as the whole pin, but with enough solder it sticks to it securely. the connector housing extends well beyond the pins, so along with some heatshrink for extra support my cable has been doing fine since I made it.

there goes my plan to lure you to the meet and see you in person. I'll try to leave them with Leeav. hope I don't forget.

you think? plus some use weird commands to initiate. they do have a certain fuzziness to them though, fuzzy is good (although harder to identify exactly what it is).

neilvg told me he has a soldering iron we can use. I'll bring along some XLR connectors and some other stuff.
