  1. If Ken wears a tiara for one full day at CanJam, I'll let him pretend the stand is his for two whole days. I think that's fair.

You wore it for all of 30 minutes and got to keep the stand. You have an interesting view of what's fair. You're not a closet Republican are you? :P

If he wears the pink tutu for both days, I'll buy him a stand. :prettyprincess:

Sorry, no tutus. It's really in your best interest.

I'll pitch in some cash to witness that. Ken, how's your wife's sense of humor? >:D

Stacy's sense of humor is just fine. She'd think it's funny too.

  2. Oh and speaking of pretties, I finally took some pictures of swt61's gorgeous stand, but since my camera is crappy and the photographer is crappier, I'm going to wait until daylight to try again and see if I can get some better shots. Maybe someone at CanJam will have a good camera. It definitely needs to be shown off.

Does it fit in airline carryon by any chance? >:D

  3. I'm not aware of anyone I know that has had an opera. The Beta 22 is a great amp tho.

Fungi had an opera for awhile. I listened to it at one of our mini-meets with my K340s. I didn't like the SQ very much and didn't feel that the opera did a good job of driving K340. The sound was thin and one dimensional. It didn't have the height and depth in the soundstage that I get with my amp. Of course, the K340 is a very hard headphone to drive. Anyway, Hiroshi can comment more on the opera than I can.

  4. Mapleshade...over pricing... get out :kitty:

You should read their print catalog, the guy sounds like a genuine nut.

Mapleshade CDs are quite reasonably priced and well recorded. The trick is to find performances that you like. I've been lucky, I've bought 5 or 6 Mapleshade CDs and only have 1 stinker. Also, as mentioned above, Mapleshade amp stands appear to be quite nice and are much cheaper than competitive products I've seen. I agree that the LP steam cleaner is overpriced. So their prices are a mixed bag.

  5. I agree with Pars. Try out an OPA2107 for L/R and (possibly) OPA227 for G. That should warm things up a bit.

From experience: the Headfive will not be better than your Pimeta.

If you are really itching for something new, sell me your Pimeta ;D.

The Headfive is warmish, but I agree with gtp that it probably won't be better than your Pimeta. As I see it, the main reason to go to the Headfive in your case would be to get crossfeed. If you don't really want that, it's probably a lateral move. Of course, it's best if you can actually compare them and decide for yourself.

  6. Where have you seen me push them on anyone? Show me the post.. please.. It seems the comprehension level here is very low, do I need to dumb it down, more for you?

No, you need to improve your communication skills. It's the responsibility of the communicater to communicate to the audience. You're failing miserably at it.

I'll give you one hint though. Demeaning your audience usually communicates something other than what you are trying to get across.
