Haha, whatever... that makes absolutely no sense. YOU can only determine what YOU like based on auditioning gear. Hell, someone could have had bacon for breakfast on a particular morning completely effecting their 'treble' detection... that's good enough for you? Well, glad you're able to 'gleen' your information that way.. have it! You like it; I love it!
If you need to make fun of one misspelled word to bolster your point, your point must be really weak.

I didn't think it needed fixing. But you did prove my point about vilification.
Somehow I can't seem to equate "wonky tone" with vilification. No headphones seem to be more polarizing that Ultrasones. The fact that many people don't like them and are vocal about it doesn't equate to vilification. Sorry.

Six bottles of Peter Michael Les Pavot and six bottles of Kosta Brown I am done for a while.
Wow! I assume that these are 2005? Anyway, I suspect that you just spent more on a case of wine that I spent on my HP2 and adapter. I sure wish that I has something interesting enough to offer in trade for a bottle, but I no longer have anything that interesting.

He's only a Sophomore so unless he goes this year I doubt it'll affect his draft status much. He's a hell of a player though, one of the better pure shooters I've seen in a long time. Has a game similar to Richard Hamilton but his shooting stroke is so reminiscent of Ray Allen. He is undersized though, could be the only thing that hurts him once he does get to the NBA.
After the tournament he is having, he should go pro. He can only go down from here. Besides being undersized, he's really not very athletic (compared to NBA guards), which is a bigger problem in the pros. Still, there's always a place for someone who can shoot like he can and has a feel for the game like he does.

Is there anyone playing better right now in all of college basketball? He's up to 29 tonight against Wisconsin w/ 9minutes to go and Davidson up 17.
Certainly nobody has done more to raise their draft stock that he has. Before the tournament, he may have gone undrafted. Now he may have raised himself into the middle of the first round.

I'm still cleaning the records and haven't had a chance to listen to them yet.
Ah, the old Nazi himself. I really like his CD of Beethoven's 9th.

Queen Vicki got her prize! That was really cool of you, Steve!
Very cool. I know who I'll be asking to make my next headphone stand. Of course, it will take me a while to recover from the last purchase. Can't wait to see pictures.

Nice going Ken! How do they sound out of the Extreme?
Thanks. They sound very nice out of the Extreme. I knew that they would because in the MOA picture, I was listening to them out of my Extreme. See, I'm smarter than I look.
Ken, congrats on the HP2s. I could live with that headphone
Though I didn't buy it, a box was unexpectedly at my door when I got home, and inside was the damn nicest headphone stand I've ever seen. Thanks, Steve! I have no idea where my camera is, but I'll get pics up later, though I'm sure they won't do it justice.
Thanks to you Vicki. I won't have to listen to it as I still have my K340 and Darth Beyers, but I will spend a lot of time with it! Congrats on you headphone stand. I can't wait to see pictures of it. Better find that camera.

Yes, these are HP-2, which is one model of the HP 1000 series. There are also HP-1, which have a switch on each ear piece so that you can change the phase, and HP-3, which I've never seen and know little about.
Thanks to everybody for your comments about them. I really shouldn't have bought them but couldn't stop thinking about them ever since I listened to them at MOA. The picture of them on my head is was taken at MOA. It's funny that when I finally decided to buy a pair, I'd be able to buy a pair that I had actually tried.

That's why I needed this:

Can't believe that John doesn't already have a feedback thread at HC. He reluctantly sold me his Grado HP2 headphones. They arrived well packed and in fantastic condition. I'll continue to deal with JP on any deal. Highly recommended.

I won't pretend to know enough about jazz to know which albums are essential, but back in the late seventies when I was putting together my first nice audio system the following three direct to disk albums really got me into jazz.
L.A. Four, "Going Home" (Nautilus). Absolutely wonderful! The flute solo in Django (I think) is what sold me on my first real speakers, DCM Time Window.
Bill Berry Band, "For Duke" (M&K RealTime Records). This is a Duke Ellington tribute record by members of his band.
Earl "Fatha" Hines, "Fatha" (M&K RealTime Records). Fatha plays other composer's music.
The last two are still available on one gold CD. Both are well recorded and I highly recommend it.

I stole a nerve agent design from Nate.
Nate posted lovely detailed pics to make the genocide as easy as possible.
He didn't tell me where to get a good deal on the shells however, so I had to use balloons as the delivery vehicle, but the rest of the weapon is a complete rip off. I'd recommend stealing from Nate anytime, and am looking forward to him posting pics of the results of his own nerve agents.
Thanks Nate!
You're just mad because I finally got that SUCKITALO cable I've always wanted!
-
Bought a 4-pin XLR to 1/4" adapter from Nate in another flawless transaction. Nate built the cable and had it shipped out to me within a couple of days. He maintained great communication throughout. Also, I know that he'll back up this adapter on the tiny chance that I have a problem with it.
First class seller all the way. Highly recommended! But then everybody here already knows that.

Just came in the mail:

In the spirit of the HF thread, I think that you should sue your buddy for giving you this choice and causing you extreme mental anguish. Do you know any good lawyers?
-
That's because even if Vicki was married, she'd be the wife...
Ah, I understand now. That really makes sense. Thanks.
-
Of course, I'm not needing the MiniBox E+ I just got either, but in an effort to consolidate my rigs, I'm adding more things now so I can sell off most things later.
That's the same reasoning I used with my wife. It works better for you than it did for me.

some fruity pebbles. first thing i've eaten in days. it's fucking delicious.
You know about the side effect of taking Vicodin, don't you? I don't mean that it can become habit forming, I mean the other bad side effect. A couple of years ago I broke 6 ribs in a motorcycle oops. Nobody warned me and after 6 days, it was quite painful. So be sure to be ingesting (one way or another) a lot of fiber as long as you are taking them.

Chocolate covered espresso beans.
Uh-oh. I think that we may be in for a long night of Augsburger posts!

When did your luck change for the bad? Was it just after the infamous Cincinnati meet? Maybe you've had an Iraqi curse put on you.

That's like fixing a loud muffler on a muscle car by getting a chrysler k car

If you're going to go the portable amp route with the Senns, the 600s fair a bit better than the 650s, but I wouldn't go portable unless really needing portability. For small desktop solutions that are moderately priced, the Rockhopper CKKIII and the 01 (including dac) from Head Direct (I think it has a name now, but I've had the early model for the past few weeks) sound quite good with the 600s. I haven't heard either with the 650s so I can't comment there.
Sorry for the spam here, but if you go the CKIII route, fellow HC'er gtp has this one for sale. I've seen and listened to his work and it is of high quality. I haven't seen or heard this particular amp but I'd bet money that it's up to his usual standards.

You need to roll that Sovtek, methinks.
As quickly as possible!
So if the HFI-780 and D2000 are trashed, what's left?

I agree that the point was missed, just not by whom you think it was.
