I'm not sure if this was serious or not, but I'd certainly be interested in such an initiative if Justin was interested to make it happen of course.

The guy I went to was also selling a line of custom monitors targeted for musicians, but he didn't try pushing his products or anything, in fact he was quite impressed when I told him what the JH13 were.

Ask Steve himself, he also made me a stand similar to postjack's one. I think morphsci has it now.

To be honest, I've only tried it with my PortaPros so far, which could explain that I don't miss any bass.

I think it would be a good idea, even Head-fi has it now. On another matter, would it be complicated to allow searches of 3 letters words? Are you sure there wasn't some sort of EQ applied? Listening to it right now and it doesn't particularly strike me as a bright source.

I picked up a 4GB Clip+ on sale yesterday and I'm pretty impressed by this little device. I really like the minimalist interface and no frills design. Concerning sound quality, I don't think it sounds better or worse than my iPod Touch, but I haven't done any particularly critical listening. The portable source gear forum on Head-fi scares me.

4GB Sansa Clip+ I got curious and picked one on the cheap, and I have to say I'm really impressed by this device for the price. No frills MP3/FLAC player, sounds good and it's so small that I could almost lose it in my pocket, plus it's got one ultramodern feature that Apple still hasn't implemented, the FM radio. Don't get me wrong, it won't replace my Touch, but it's the perfect sports/gym throwaway player and I bet I'll use it a lot.

Happy (U.S.) thanksgiving, lots of turkey and alcohol for everyone!

I've played my part, now it's in the hands of JH Audio. The guy who did my impressions was very professional and seemed to know what he was doing. He'll re-do the impressions for free if there's a problem with the ones he took today. Now, the hard part is waiting, but thankfully I've got a bunch of stuff to do in the next 3 weeks.

The guy I'll be going to is an an hearing-aid specialist, not an audiologist, so perhaps it's cheaper. He makes his own custom monitors for musicians so he should have a bunch of experience.

With the impressions being 48$, I don't even cross the 1K psychological barrier.

I just took an appointment with an audiologist and mentionned over the phone that JH Audio requires open mouth impressions, and he thought that open mouth was not a good idea, that it would be too tight. For those who have the JH13, were your impressions all done open mouth?
