Good places to eat and drink in Europe?
I hope so. Two meals a day and 5-6 hours of sleep should be more than enough.

Good places to eat and drink in Europe?
That's part of the plan ideally.

Good places to eat and drink in Europe?
We wanted to, but we had to make some hard choices to fit our time frame. Brussels will be our drinking place instead.

Good places to eat and drink in Europe?
I'm leaving tonight for a one month trip in Europe with a friend, we'll be making these cities: - Paris - Strasbourg - Munich - Prague - Berlin - Dresden - Amsterdam - Brussels - Bruges Any tips for good obscure places to eat or drink on the cheap? Or just nice places to visit that are not in tourist books? Thanks!

Ipod Touch / Iphone
I just installed the 3.0 update on my Touch. Their implementation of cut/paste is great, it's very easy and intuitive to use. The landscape keyboard is a very nice feature, I make much less typos and it feels more natural. Spotlight is pretty cool too, though I don't see myself using it much since I keep my inbox clean and I don't really store anything on the Touch except mails, music and videos.

I was about about to insult you, but then I thought it would only prove your point. I'm stuck.

Are we foruming our lives away?
Great topic! What I like about this particular hobby is the online/offline interaction with meets, and being able to personify the people you talk with. Also, for some reason, I have the preconceived notion that people who care so much about music must be good people and bon vivants in real life too, which has been the case most of the time. About the wasting time part, ever tried discussing headphones and audio with your girlfriend or your friends? I've tried, but the conversations were short-lived and not particularly interesting. I see forum posting as a complement to real life, filling holes for geeky stuff that most people don't care about. Being passionate about something is good IMO, as long as you don't alienate your close friends and try to live a balanced life. It's all about moderation like someone said earlier.

Yay for Talbot, a guy from my hometown.

NHL 2008/2009 edition
Yeah, I agree with that. I was just replying to grawk who said he didn't like ANY Penguins formation. Personally, I don't care too much which team wins in the end because I think both are very talented, but for some sadistic reason, I'd like Hossa to lose.

Ah, I get it. Same reason I don't like the Leafs, though these days I have a bit of pity for them.

Why do you hate the Pens? In their actual formation, I agree Crosby is a whiny bitch, but how can you not love, let's say, the Lemieux-Francis-Jagr line of the early 90s?

Word. I like the Wings too, but my chauvinism makes me pick the Pens because of all those Quebec players (Talbot, Garon, Fleury, Letang, Boucher and Dupuis).

CanJam 2009 Impressions, Pics, Parties, etc...
I don't see why the Monster guy would ever come to our Montreal meets, but I know for sure I personally wouldn't allow anyone with a Segway to drive into a room full of fragile and expensive audio stuff. Will I get sued for saying that?

Ye Macce Threade
Anyone knows what exactly OpenCL does? I was sad to see that my 1 year old MacBook doesn't support it, though it's not completely surprising considering the cheapo integrated X3100 graphic card. And yay for the 29$ Snow Leopard upgrade. I wasn't too fond of paying full price for a Leopard "upgrade" (though after reading today's keynote, I realized it's quite a big upgrade). I think Apple did a good move for the customers on that one.

The Headcase Stax thread
Honestly, I think you'd really deserve it, if only for running your headphone wiki. Nominated you btw.

I'm interested in this as well. There are a few great tracks on the album, but the compression is awful (and the CGI artwork, but that is not relevant ).- Parasound DAC-1000 or Little Dot DAC 1
Your initial question was alright and manaox's reply was perhaps a little harsher than the usual welcome. If you'd like to stay here though, you need to grow a thicker skin and accept possible critics or the fact that not everybody loves you and/or care about you. Kind of like in real life. I can't help you about the DACs though, I haven't heard either. Have you considered HeadAmp Pico DAC? It's a great little source and many people including myself love it.- Best headphones for under $40?
Welcome to Head-case! What took you so long?- The Headcase Stax thread
Those of you who were at CanJam - did you get the chance to listen to the Sigma and Sigma/404? If so, what did you think of them compared to Stax usual suspects?- HD800? Another rumor?
It's just sad to see BS again like that on H-F after reading all the nice and refreshing CanJam threads.- Grado HF-2 thread
How's the treble compared to other Grados? Slightly harsh highs and claustrophobic soundstage are my main caveats with modern Grados, but the "mini PS-1" thing is getting into my head and I'm highly tempted to put an order right now.- Best sounding USB cable for under $60
