  1. Yes, but what about pets?
  2. Joanne and I, decided to play tourist again and head over to Napa - the town, rather than the valley. Forearmed with some research on chowhound and Yelp, we decided to hit Boon Fly Caf on the way in. Joanne went for the Eggs Benedict, with thick salty ham, and jalapeno hollandaise sauce. I went for the breakfast flatbread with bacon, eggs and caramelized onions But we ended up sharing anyway - an Ideal combination. Then onwards to Napa itself. We had a look round the new riverside development, and concurred with this article Morimoto in Napa - San Francisco Bay Area - Chowhound A housing bubble burst and a recession is probably the wrong time for such a thing. Plenty of "For Lease" signs in prime downtown store locations .... Went over to the Oxbow Public Market Napa CA , but it too could do with being busier, add to that the wrangle over the Taylors Automatic Refresher now having a different name Sudden Name Change of Historic Taylor's Refresher in St. Helena Outrages Family - Forbes.com all interesting stuff. We did however notice the local library was having a book sale, and had a good old browse, leaving with a bag stuffed with books for only $2.50! score! Not a bad day all in all. Weather was sunny and up in the high seventies. What more could you want *Photos from yelp for illustrative purposes only

That price is a steal! don't forget the line-in so you can use your own source in addition to the internet radio + local server.

  21. Happy Birthday Sir!, I look forward to the pleasure of making your acquaintance at CJ.
  22. HDX has a built in torrent client. never got round to using it as I ended up using the mini 9. The Bone looks interesting. As with all these players, hardware establishes the potential, but the software makes or breaks the experience, and how much of the potential is realized, if at all. Hence the attractions of a HTPC running commodity software, with a big user base/support network.
  23. I addressed similar requirements with 3 dedicated devices 1: Main PC - quiet Antec P182 Main build, wake on lan in another room. It does't have to be silent, as its not the main listening room (lounge), and when I'm in the same room its headphones, or i'm listening/watching so I don't tend to notice the background noise. Wake on Lan means its only on when it needs to be 2: a re-purposed Dell mini 9 with SSD and external USB Hard drive. On 24/7 , but at only 5-15W vs 200W draw of the main PC. Can administer remotely to task it . Shuffle stuff off it when ratio is reached. Network shares So I can access stuff as soon as it is complete. Sits by the router. 3: Dedicated video playback device HDX-1000 (with added 2.5 inch internal laptop drive) . Fanless , 1080p HDMI output , networked (wired) to the main PC where addition storage is available by the myiHome server software or shares. Can't recall the last time I played a shiny silver disk, as its all ripped, then the ISO image played back over the network. The HDX software lacks polish compared to other solutions, but plays what I want, and is controllable via a remote. which is what you want. Thats just my approach and it works for me.
  24. Dollar Day races at golden gate fields with some neighbors as a cheap afternoon out! They forgot to mention the $1 Ice Cream Bars! Joanne described it as $1 for fizzy water (well it was Bud Light ) Great Weather, Nice location, and Joanne and I managed to leave with $7.60 intact from our original $20 stake after betting $2 each on nine races. Can't retire just yet.
  25. How about
