  1. That argument didn't work for Paley and it doesn't work for you.
  2. Talk Talk - Laughing Stock is one of the earliest albums in this genre and it's pretty awesome especially in context of when it was made. Ghosts and Vodka is another band that would fit in here.. Do Make Say Think was my first thought but someone already posted it They're awesome.
  3. Hmm.. I can't pick between these three... - Flaming Lips @ the Zoo - Portugal. The Man - Battles @ Fun Fun Fun Fest Flaming Lips was the coolest show to watch ever. Portugal. The Man had the most interactive and crazy crowd ever. I was 2 feet away from John Stanier's bass drum @ the FFFF show. Battles wins by proximity.
  4. Confession - Leo Tolstoy Pretty cool stuff... I'd never heard of it until my professor in Philosophy of Religion mentioned it.. glad I picked it up.
  5. Yeah... I was watching it and was surprised too... FYI there is a DCP-50 and a iRiver iMP550 on ebay as well... I have to buy other stuff
  6. New DT990s still have recessed mids... Then again, I use Sextetts & K271s...Maybe I'm too biased.
  7. Oh gawd. I used misquote in place of typo. Is that a major error? I type pretty goofy and with my hand shifted over, 4 became 3 and 3 became 2. It was definitely a typo. Why the fuck am I explaining a typo to you? I'M GOING TO GO LISTEN TO RAP MUSIC BAI.
  8. I quote you a very accurate selling price for K501s and make you an offer and then misquote you for HF-1s and then don't make an offer? Obviously I wasn't trying to rip you off or I would have said I wanted them for that price. Just stop being lazy and use the search button... You could find an average selling price for both of those headphones in 2 minutes if you would stop being lazy.
  9. I don't want to be known as a lowballer for no reason Do some searches on the going rates... it's very very easy. Looks like you edited your post so.. I"ll do the same... if you do a search for HF-1 and K501 in the FS sections, you'll see plenty of pairs going for the price I stated... $350 and ~$110. The patronizing e-happiness is kinda weird after first calling me some player looking to exploit you. Kinda weird.
  10. Do a quick search... like 8 out of the last 10 k501s have gone for $110 or less.
  11. Ahh glad to see I'm being painted as a lowballing asshole over here K501s go for ~$110 all the time.. They're $175 still brand new on ebay and $150 for a mint pair would be about right. However, used K501s generally go for <$120. The $250 on the HF-1 was a typo and meant to be $350.. thanks for being a really cool guy though
  12. Righto. I would have guessed they were talking about broadcasting wireless which would make sense but that doesn't apply to anything here.

    AKG K271S

I just bought some today... I'm excited. I'll compare the midrange with the sweet mids on my Sextetts.
  14. Well, I just joined up here today I'm also kpeezy on head-fi and I have a little question. I'm looking to combine my turntable setup and my PC setup. The plan is to get a phono pre-amp and a desktop amp (and something to switch between sources depending on the desktop amp). I'm really not sure about which specific components would work best with my headphones though. I'll update my sig soon enough but I have HD580s, SR225s, and K240 Sextetts. I listen to mostly indie rock (Wilco, Pavement, Spoon, etc.). I really just now got around to giving this merger serious thought and found out about this forum at the same time so I thought it would be a nice ice-breaker Thanks.
