  1. Yep, it came with bass conture modules, basically shapes the FR and inserted between the control amplifier and power amplifier. It made them sound better tonally and bass was better controlled with BCM. The opening is smaller than the drivers so it's kinda like a strange waveguide in there and a complex labyrinth inside. Speakers themself are made from some kind of composite stone "Gibraltar", cold to touch and heavy as heck. These things are big: Height 39.5 inches (100.5 cm) Width 10.75 inches (27.5 cm) Depth 17.5 inches (44.5 cm) Weight 115 lbs. (53 kg)
  2. Interesting. Was the first verion with jfets? What were they replaced with?
  3. Finaly I speand some time with these, since my uncle was curious enought to track and pair donw and buy it. Very unusual speakers that combine the best and worst things about crossoverless design.
  4. I have a general question about SRM-313. How many version of the amp are out there and are they all the same from the topology standpoint?
  5. Very interesting stuff right here.
  6. Nope. It's the German designer of these headphones, a nice guy but not Juerg Jecklin.
  7. I did. They sound nice, but a bit thin and overall I do not think the price is justified. I would buy them with the amp for around $1500 but the price that they charge is ridiculous.
  8. I also like how float frame fits my head, for me this design is one of the most comfortable ever.
  9. The price is ridiculous, but I am still curious about these. I will make it a point to listen to them at the show.
  10. QUAD's new "FLOAT QA" headphones coming to the New York Show I am exited to see this. Since I am going to the show I will make a point to listed to these and see how I like them. My Float collection might get a new member if I like these. Anyone else is exited to see this coming to NYC show?
  11. I get what you are saying. I walk by routinely when similar stuff is happening, cos I got shit to do There is so much strange stuff going on in this city if I stopped to watch all of it I would never make it anywhere.
  12. Tiger B. Smith - We're the Tiger Bunch (1974) Hilarious stuff, yet somehow very satisfying in a juvenile glam hard rock kinda way.
  13. I already got my gift. Woo hoo! We did a classical music exchange with jvlgato. I was listening to Living Stereo albums and having a great time last night Modest Mussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition, a Night on Bald Mountain, and Other Russian Showpieces [Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Fritz Reiner] (1960) Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov - Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherazade / Stravinsky: Song of the Nightingale (Chicago Symphony Orchestra/Fritz Reiner) (1960) Hector Berlioz - Symphonie Fantastique (Boston Symphony Orchestra/Charles Munch) (1955)
  14. If you dehydrate her, you can ship much more that just a head.
  15. Embryo - Bad Heads and Bad Cats (1976) Secret Oyster - Vidunderlige Kælling (1975) Got some proggy jazz rock for me today.
  16. I will take it as a gift, no need to sell. Also send a long some shinny silver disks. I will do the same
