I've used that stand...it too is a nice little piece of kit. A bit pricey for what it is, but it does the job well. -

The school provided Aeron chairs for us and I gotta say I love it. Good ass support and you can adjust it or your needs. I only wish I had a high back chair sometimes so I could rest my neck, but that really doesn't come up all that often. If I could afford one, I'd get one for my office at home. Someday.

You probably need a new headband. The tension is created via a rubber band of sorts attached to the leather headband. To access this you need to take the driver housings off the headband. If you swing the drivers out, you'll notice two screws holding the driver housing to the headband assembly. You need to unscrew those and then take the drive housing off. This will allow you to take the temple pad assembly off. That will give you access to the headband. I don't recommend this though. Once you remove that driver assembly and fiddle with the temple pad assembly you risk losing a spring and little ball bearings that are a part of that whole assembly... there are a lot of little easily lost parts in that assembly unfortunately. Plus you'd either need to rig up some new rubber band thingy with greater tension or replace the band with a new one.... good luck getting in touch with AKG for spare parts. They can be tough to get a hold of.

Just finished it. I like it. I'm not sure I $75 like it, let alone $300, but I definitely $10 like it.

From NIN's website: "Unfortunately, the Ghosts I-IV site is down for the next few hours for maintenance. We quietly released this album last night without any warning, and without any press. Because we know how devoted our fans are, we planned for an overwhelming response, and expected heavy traffic. To our surprise, the traffic was more than three times what we anticipated, and has only been getting heavier throughout the day. The response has been absolutely phenomenal, and we couldn't be happier, but our servers have taken a beating, causing numerous problems with the download site. Our developers, who have been working non-stop to combat the surge of traffic, feel that taking the site down for a few hours to fix some crucial issues is the best way to get things running smoothly again. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. While the site is down, you can still purchase the complete Ghosts I-IV here from Amazon's MP3 store for only $5. The MP3s are high quality and DRM-free. You can also order the deluxe and limited edition packages from Artist in Residence. If you're familiar with BitTorrent, you can download Ghosts I, the first of the four volumes, for free, from our official upload at The Pirate Bay. If you ordered a download and have not yet been able to retrieve it or have experienced any technical difficulties with the download, your download link will work as soon as the site returns. Thanks again for the amazing support, and your continuing patience. Watch nin.com for updates during the downtime."

Recommendation for an External HD for Mac?
thrice replied to The Monkey's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
Hmmm, well I was trying to avoid multiple drives and manual backups, but I guess if I went the NAS route, I'd really want to insure that the hardware was spot-on and reliable. It's true that I could pick up 2 X 1TB Western Digital MyBook (or something similar) drives for $600-800, but I was also thinking about the future...getting something that would last 5-10 years and be flexible...start off with 1 drive and a backup and be able to expand from there. Perhaps I'm being a bit unrealistic about that? -

It's funny you mention that one because I was particularly looking at this awhile ago on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822122010 -
Recommendation for an External HD for Mac?

Just thought I'd bump this up. I'm thinking about expanding my storage/backups to be more robust and I'd like something like this: A one box solution where I could swap out/add drives as needed. Ideally it would be something that could handle at least 4 1TB 3.5" drives (unless there's a reason to go with 5" or something else). I'd like for the first 2 1TB drives to be storage for digital media files and then the second 2 1TB drives as backups. I'm not really familiar with NAS, so any links that can point me in the right direction would be good. I'm hoping to find something that can last awhile and handle higher capacity drives as they become available. -
So what's next? Stats?

I'll part with them for......... http://zerotosixty.files.wordpress.com/2007/09/medium_dr_evil_1.jpg Well, you know the rest. Although with possible K1000 coming there is less incentive to keep them, I'll not abandon them without chatting with you first We have family in Greece and we're going to see them. They have not met my wife yet so that's part of the reason why....we're going to be hit with a lot of "Why don't you have children yet" questions since Greeks typically start breeding shortly after the wedding ceremony somewhere between the first dance and cutting the cake.
