I've read that review as well, and did not sense any pompousness or inflated ego. Quite the opposite really. The reviewer thought a great deal about headphones and the specific issues revolving around how they reproduce sound. He then came up with his own methodology and terminology to explained those issues in as clear and concise a manner as possible. I think our hobby needs more of this. Right now there is no real centralized authority on headphones like the speaker world has. Sure the happy, "it's good if you like it" attitude makes us all feel good about our gear, but if we're to move forward as a hobby we need more well-thought out reviews to help define and give shape to the language and concepts needed to describe what we hear and how well a piece of equipment recreates sound. It would help give our hobby more legitimacy; which is something we are lacking.

Hmmm, sonic impact huh.... not sure about that though, since it's mostly going to be a stationary thing I'm thinking that a larger screen might be nice. I've got a couple leads on other items as well. I'll swing by the local Best Buy....I was just wondering if anyone owned something they were particularly fond of or thought was good. You know, looking for people who have actually USED the product

I'm not really concerned about battery life since this will be used on my workbench, plugged in, just looking for the best screen/performance really.

Looking for a more traditional portable DVD player, it's for my workbench really, since my old laptop is on its way out. Budget is ~$200-250. Thanks for the recommendation though

So I made a comment about how the portable DVD player my mom got for Christmas was neat. So now they're getting me one for my b-day. I don't know too much about them other than the fact that non of them seem to have decent screens. So any advice on which I should get. Mom's got a Sony and it seems nice, but are there any models that stand out among the rest?

I've always asked for Ti's permission to sell his designs. It's never been a problem. I'd like to think that if Ti had a problem with my builds/prices he would tell me. More people get to hear these amps because MisterX and I build them. I think I'm responsible for a little over 100 M^3 amps and god knows how many Mini3 amps right now. That's a bunch of people that might not have had a chance to own/hear those amps. They're designs worth hearing.

The KGSS was mine, when my wife and I moved to Chapel Hill, we were strapped for cash so I sold it. Didn't want to, and no I'm not building them for sale in the future. Looks like you guys had (are having) a great time....enjoy.

Wow, I was thinking that $200 is good considering how much people are willing to pay for those two. I've seen DCP-150s go for $500 on eBay.
