Ordered a nice Brooks mounted Flask for the Mellow Monday rides at my shop. Now I need to come up with a decent looking set of flat pedals for the Desalvo.

That sucks Chris. I just went outside and it is pretty damn cold out there now, I imagine it was pretty terrible this morning.

Yeah. I think tomorrow might be a mess. I might throw the Calfee on the trainer to see if I can get the fit close.

I am pretty open. I will be pretty slow as I am really working on fit for the Calfee.

I have actually used the SRS-002 quite a bit lately while traveling. I am really liking the system. The custom IEMs are gathering dust at the moment as I am enjoying the weird little Stax system better directly out of the iPhone.

I am hoping to go for a short ride on Monday. Looks like it will be dry at least.

Good to see some progress Vicki. I have been on a bike once in the last month, the MOA III bike ride. Never even tried out the new bikes yet. Too busy and the cracked ribs have limited my desire to put some miles on the bikes.

I think there should be plenty of decent road bikes with older or lower end group sets available in your price range. I would probably like a Cyclocross like that Jake the Snake if I was buying only one bike, to give me some flexibility.

I wouldn't imagine they would be Ari. The Calfee showed up. What a massive undertaking it is to take the ballistic nylon off of every piece of the bike. I have 34 pieces of nylon shaped to cover all of the bike. I have everything together except the brakes. Need to figure out how to adjust road bike brakes to fit properly. When connected the rear brakes are locked down and the front brake pads are so close together I can't even get the wheels to fit between them.

Thanks everyone. I actually had to fly out to Penn State for my Birthday so my wish is that there is not enough snow here to cancel the only flight out of here tomorrow night so I can get home and try a short ride on the new Calfee.

You should think about making a DIY sit bone measuring device since you do not have a shop. At my shop you sit on some cushion that indents at your sit bones and then you measure to figure out our seat size. Most seats seem to be around 134 but you can find them at 144, 155 and 165 pretty easily if you look.

The reason you don't have pain in your sit bones is because they are spaced farther than the seat is wide so no weight is being absorbed by them. The pressure will be relieved greatly if you get the right seat. The stock seat on most road bikes will most likely not be the right seat for a big guy.

You probably need a wider seat. I take the stock seat off immediately and switch to one properly situated to my sit bones and the pain disappears.

Yeah Mango Chris King hubs have been ordered to go on brushed aluminum rims/spokes.

Traveling quite a bit but I hope to get everything together while Colin is here for whatever ride we are able to get together. I think Nebby will be coming down and since Dinny is coming down I will have to figure out how to get him on a bike as well. Hopefully Chris and Juan will be able to ride along as well. Really need HC jerseys.
