Did a short ride to try out the new wheels and the new winter clothes. Everything went well and I actually obliterated every one of my PRs on Strava but the bike seems much less stable with these wheels and tires than with the originals.

Vicki, 23 miles in the rain seems pretty damn impressive to me. I officially went off the deep end and got crazy tights to wear instead of my MTB shorts on the road bikes.

What are you Grilling now?

Yeah, I figured as much with the Calfee.

Cervelo has a life time warranty on the frame so I doubt they are happy with a couple of years. For some reason the Calfee does not have a life time warranty.

I have not been on a bike in over 2 weeks. I think I will have to venture out into the cold this weekend for a couple of rides. Wish I had ordered some winter cycling gear a bit sooner as my stuff should be here some time next week.

I bought the low end model show bike for my commute and travel. It has the S&S couplers and full travel kit. Ended up getting all new SRAM gear put on because they had scavenged pieces for other builds. They think it will be ready in a couple of weeks.

Great to see walking Vicki back in the bike world. Installed the K-Edge tonight. Need to figure out how I can mount the light with this as I can't seem to make both fit.

They are going on the Calfee for now. I might get rid of them if I decide I want different wheels on it when it shows up.

I think that is kind of an optical illusion as my top bar has a pretty good drop and the bike is hanging at an angle.

Head-Case Fantasy Football
Congrats to the Champs. I will make up the ESPN trophies shortly. Losing my number 2 pick in both leagues was just too much for me. At least I beat Brent.
- Happy Birthday Jacob

2013 Cycling Goals
I would put number one on my list to attend a HC Cycling meet, MTB or Road. With my schedule I would like to get 1200 miles between MTB and Road. I would like to ride some distance in the Tour de Cure in April. Probably 25 -50 miles. I would also try to ride to the train station a couple of times a week.

I was looking at the Moots as I always wanted to try their MTBs. Seems like a more affordable entry into Ti.

That is a nice deal there Mike. Killer frame.

Have a call scheduled for next week with Tyler and Kevin at Firefly to get this process rolling. Looking at the S&S couplers it would appear a hell of a lot of work has to go into packing and unpacking the bike each time so I am not sure I want to go with all the effort to save a bit on airline fees.

The Calfee would be a basic travel bike. I am not sure what I will get for a custom, but I am not really interested in steel.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Yay Traeger. I have been using a Big Green Egg the last week and I really miss my Traeger.

I am actually contemplating picking up the low end Calfee show bike they are selling with couplers.

It did look great, but it was not a good fit. It was really just for a once a year ride when I happened to be in Texas so for the right price I might have taken it but I thought it was too expensive for a bike to set unused 99% of the time. Any new bike will share time with the R5 back home.

Firefly has really stood out as something I would like to own in my limited research. I might have to go to the NAHBS show to investigate a bit more. I am not going to buy a whole stable of customs like Mike so I need to choose wisely.

I have that same light for the road bike Nate. Works really well. I am shopping again. Any of you guys know anything about the Firefly Bikes? http://fireflybicycles.com/
