I am waiting for the work emergency to spring up as they always do before I try to take time off.
Have to get packed tonight and decide what, if any, big gear I will be bringing. A Macbook Pro, Pico Dac and a Slim is a rig, correct?
I will try that. I imported about 1300 images from a CF card last night and it pretty much just died.
I also made the mistake of saying I wanted it to open whenever images are attached the to the computer like iPhoto always does. Now every time I connect the iPad or plug in a CD card I immediately have to got through the start up process and tell it I am not ready to buy.
Yeah, I think I am going to have to buy the full version of Photoshop CS5 to replace my old CS software. I have been trying to use Aperture but for some reason it is very slow on my iMac and very annoying to use.
Last Day at the track. Found a place I liked to shoot from and basically just stayed there all day.

One for JP
And one for Brent
I have all my gear packed up for this weekends races. Looks like I will have about 10 races to shoot plus the car show so I am hoping to come home with 2k+ photos for the weekend. I assume .1% of those will be worthwhile so I will have enough post a couple here.
In case anyone missed it you can use the new mobile chat with the iPad if you tell the browser to emulate Mobile Safari. Seems to work pretty well and much easier than iTeleport.
Yeah, I am using the 30 day trial of Aperture now. I know I can get a thirty day trial of CS5 so I assume I can get Lightroom as well and will try it out.
Coming from Photoshop CS, Aperture seems kind of strange but I very much like the controls.
I prefer the follow-up picture as well. I am going to have to start sending all my first attempts to Knuckles for advice.
What do you think about Lightroom? I have let my Photoshop software get out of date, CS, and now I would have to pay full price to get the new version so I am going to decide between Lightroom and Aperture.
Thanks Gene. That is actually the Hudson and Manhattan Railroad Powerhouse which is going to eventually become a giant arts location to celebrate the history of artists in this part of JC.
