  1. It can be used with Amarra as you can use Amarra without actually controlling the little Amarra window but you have to have some other way to actually open/turn off or on Amarra. Are you controlling a headless Mac Mini or is this to control a computer from across the room that has full controls at the actual computer?
  2. The free Apple remote has not been updated for iPad yet so I can't comment on its capabilities. The Rowmote is similar but easier to function on the iPad than the Touch. The VPN capability on the iPad is great for controlling my Mini/Amarra so I use it for this function much more than the remote.
  3. There is room for any straight plug besides the stupidly large Viablue plugs. The customs that use the right angle fat plug will not fit either.
  4. I have that case and really like it but I have to use the adapters that came with my Switcheasy cases to get the JH13 cable and the Whiplash cables to fit. Great case though.
  5. Probably at the Apple store. That is what I am going to try.
  6. I had actually forgotten about screen grab on the iPhone. Already learning new things as I hope to discover new apps based on people's grabs.
  7. So lets see what you guys have. So far the games are my favorite but I have found some really great business tools as well.
  8. Yeah I was glad that Al told me about that update as I got no communication at all about it from SS. Seemed to fix all my problems.
  9. Virtual Pool 3D is very cool for a time killing game.

    Canjam 2010.

Absolutely, it has been a long time since the Dallas meet.

I signed up for all the upgrades, won't know what I get until I get there though.

    Canjam 2010.

Come in Thursday morning fly out Sunday night.
  13. No I just bought Rowmote before I bought iTeleport. Rowmote is a nice GUI for the control while iTeleport is screen sharing that looks quite a bit sharper than standard screen sharing. I am sure iTeleport does a million other things but I just use it for chat, iTunes control and sending myself files via e-mail.
  14. Dinny, we should get together this week and I can let you take the iPad for a spin. Colin is coming in on Friday, maybe he would have time to eat some BBQ with us. I have not turned on my MacBook Pro since getting the iPad. Now that I have both Rowmote and iTeleport I am doing even more with the iPad that I used to do with the laptop.
  15. I got my Overdrive today so I am out of luck unless I return this one and go to South Jersey to pick on up at one of those Best Buys. I got a little sleeve for the Overdrive and will probably just drop it in my bag like that instead of going through all that trouble.
  16. Excellent, I was just wondering how I would carry my new Overdrive with the iPad if I did not want to drag around a bag. It only seems to be for sale at a very limited number of Best Buys so I am not sure how I will get my hands on one.
  17. Sprint Overdrive 3G/4G Wireless Hotspot thingee.
  18. It looks like TW has two tiny little areas in Manhattan and Cablevision is almost entirely in the other boroughs. I guess I could go stand at Radio City Music Hall.
  19. Excellent, now where would I find these wifi spots?
  20. Thanks for the review. I ended up getting Things and now I am trying to figure out how best to use it.
  21. Has anyone tried the Things for iPad app? I have been putting notes/to do lists in Notes but this looks like it might work well in keeping me organized.
  22. I personally would pick Hoboken and parts of Jersey City long before I would consider Astoria. Hoboken to the City is quicker than Astoria to the City in many cases and the nightlife/atmosphere is dramatically better in my opinion. By the way, if you work in NYC, you pay New York Income Tax so Jersey is not necessarily going to save you anything on taxes.
  23. That's awful to hear. I am very careful, though I do not really use the setup any longer and the guns mostly just travel with me for work. Still don't have room for a roommate though.
  24. No he isn't. My guest bedroom is for storing audio equipment boxes/crates, reloading equipment and guns.
  25. Really enjoying mine. Spent some time tonight trying to figure out the AOL chat app with Brent's assistance. I found it worked very well as a lone computer during my trip to the West Coast. The Apple Case was waiting for me when I got home. Not sure if I am going to use it or not as I like this travel case and I like the grip case better.
