  2. Why do none of the experts with all their wood tools not live around me. I have projects, any of you thinking of transferring to lovely Illinois?
  3. Probably not well known here but he was an interesting guy, and a Texan, RIP Jerry Jeff Walker.

Got the Steven Slate VSX headphones in. Super cheap feeling and has I have no form of reference I have to assume the studios are correct, but it seems gimmicky as hell to me. Flat Headphones mode sounds okay, but they are fairly uncomfortable.

Contemplating ordering a Studiodesk Beat Desk for my office desk. Do any of you guys have any experience with these? Seems like it will work well for my minimal need for rack space and will fit the Arturia perfectly, as they use it in their product pics.

Time to compare the new Warm WA-87 r2 $600 to the Neumann U-87ai ($3,600).

So far completely happy with the Josephson and the Barefoots. Still have a bit of hiss with the Barefoots near field, but I guess that is to be expected. Did a work podcast with the Josephson this morning and it needed zero post processing. Now trying to figure out how to fit all these Triad-Micro boom mic stands fit into my desktop system. Thinking about this for an actual boom mic videos, but I need to come up with something for the podcast mics as I do not trust myself pulling the Rode arm in and out with the exposed woofer right there.

Good week for the desktop. Podcasts are going to be on point from now on.

All cool stuff, but I am still completely in the dark with MIDI. Tried to watch the video today on integrating Ableton with LUNA and MIDI clocks and I was completely lost. By HiFi speakers do you mean for two channel stereo or powered speakers for the music setup?

So many pieces. Couldn’t the Deluge do most of that on its own?

Trying to figure out the traffic flow. Can you tell me which beep boop machine is doing what?

Also got in some of the supplies you guys recommended. The Gatorworks stand weighs about 45 pounds. Should have no proclivity to tip over like the other stupid desktop stand I have.

Yep, the new cheap one. I do like the cool little hat it came with.

So far, in minimal testing, I would have to say the Josephson is in a whole other league compared to all my other mics.

Any of you have any experience with Josephson mics? Looking at their cheap cardioid model the C705 and it appears to have most everything I am looking for in a set and forget mic.

So what benefit would these headphones provide? https://stevenslateaudio.com/vsx/?utm_campaign=VSX+Launch+-+Retargeting&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid&hsa_acc=545388659586120&hsa_cam=23845851158320641&hsa_grp=23845851158340641&hsa_ad=23845851158350641&hsa_src=fb&hsa_net=facebook&hsa_ver=3&fbclid=IwAR25vJYflwk8Y8AbrdvNLOtvkZYkH5WGYdC3bRDGeFS7meYfGuKAy01gog0

I think I have a couple of those headphone stands out in the garage. I am not a fan of any of the Arturia stuff I have in the collection. The noisy, floppy keys are annoying.

I cannot really have a priority yet as I have no idea what I am doing. I still do not know 99% of what the weird knobs on all the UA vintage equipment even does. The Warm does work on a desktop arm.

I do not have the WA-87 as I never figured I would use, but they seem to be well reviewed. The WA-47 is in. Not bad, but a heavy fucking mic, so no idea what I will actually use it on for desktop use. I have seen a ton of matched stereo pencil mics, not seen it as much in large condensers, but my heavy-handed editing does far more damage to the music than an imbalance in mics I am sure.

Home Recording Sale is on at Sweetwater. Some decent deals, including the Luna Creators Package that I paid $700 for at $400 and the Warm U-87s for $499. Might get a pair of those for drum overheads.

Quick releases sound great did not know they existed. The AEA is super light, no issues with the heil, but I will look at those as I like the finer things. Looks like this is the only one from either that would for me, and then it would be more cumbersome than what I have. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TOPack5--triad-orbit-installation-boom-system-microphone-stand-package
