I can't watch the Andrea Bocelli video.

I am what they would call a born-again virgin.

I think the Saturn is taking over for the Jupiter.

I have so many guilty pleasures, I've stopped feeling guilty about them: Pink, Kylie Minogue, and yes, even the occasional Madonna. Screw the frowners.

If you can't fit in the enclosure, how about mini monoblocks? I mean, you already have the power source...and I really like the idea of a "class D" power amp -- the Sonic T-Amp is already the thing to beat, if you could just ramp up something like that without getting out of control, like the Super T-Amp, that'd be awesome. Oh, and would it be ridiculous to have a "class D" amp without an analog input? I would think that a digital input would translate pretty easily to the necessary signal. Just thinkin' out loud (which I liken to eating with one's mouth open), so feel free to disregard. -
Uh, no dude, someone just bought a domain called bobsagetisgod.com, not the same thing. Politics doesn't suck -- politicians suck. Politicians give politics a bad name. But religion, however, does suck.

Never heard of Hash Jar Tempo, will have to check it out. You've not steered me wrong yet.

No, it's a little more complicated than that. Something like this: - disassemble outer casing; - notice how tiny the wire is; - sweat; - go to head-fi and post to shed some nervous energy; - change mind, reassemble; - change mind again, disassemble outer casing; - clip alligator clips to drain heat; - sweat; - go to head-fi; - pee break; - drink; - pee break; - warm up soldering iron; - wipe hands; - do it; - reassemble; - let cool; - listen; - breath sigh of relief; - go post on head-fi; - drink heavily.

As has been suggested before -- if you're going to post a long post or response, just do it up in notepad first or something, then copy and paste it in.

There is one rule: keep your privates private, private! -
I don't think you should make child boards unless they're going to be made out of actual children. :rimshot:

Sony and DualDisc, DualDisc and Sony
Dusty Chalk replied to Dusty Chalk's topic in Home Source Components
One of which was Sony. But yeah, I hate the specific subsets of those companies (EMI, Universal, Sony/BMG, Warner, and 5.1) that pursued DualDisc as a distribution medium. WTF?!? Is it that much cheaper to glue a CD and a DVD back-to-back than it is to just give us both, separately, in a digipak or double-sided jewel case or something? -
They're on the blanket underneath the cables? They're not very deep impressions. :rimshot:

Um...you know it's no longer an invitation-only forum, don't-cha? MHO: HA2 -- just so that Dave gets off my back about mine. A more entry-levelly-priced balanced amp would definitely be a good thing. The world has enough DACs -- if you want to enter into that fray, be my guest, but jebus, I'd stay hella far away from it, myself. Unless you want to give yourself a twist -- like a USB driver that bypasses that mixer problem (K-mixer? G-mixer?), or upsamples post-HDCD-decode. Something to stand it apart from the crowd. -

Double-post, please delete this one. -
Downgraded to a lower priority -- I discovered the "View the most recent posts on the forum" link at the bottom of the front page, under Forum Stats. I can use that.

I was (web)crawling around the Sony site to see if there was an update to the OS of my SCD-CE775, and stumbled across this -- sorta explains why my Sony player fucked up my God Forbid DualDisc, dunnit. I could come to hate Sony. I think I'm going to get rid of my player and get a Pioneer universal.

Wow, bizarre. I'm pretty familiar with Bad Religion's sound, and I just don't picture them doing that kind of music. I'll have to check it out now.

They do? I don't know, the PS-1's I heard had a bit too much bass, and the Leatherheads I heard did not...I don't see how that can be called similar...Hirsch? Do you still have the PS-1's?
-
Not really. Or rather, not really well.

Early Pink Floyd == acid rock. So yeah, that qualifies. Radiohead == jury still out. They definitely have qualities of "space" and "psych", but they're basically a pop band, IMHO. Yes == to me, they define prog. One of my top 10 favourite bands/artists of all time. Going to see Rick Wakeman (solo grand piano tour, retiring afterwards) in June. Easily my favourite pop/rock keyboardist. Can -- now listening to Future Days -- weaves a curvy line between pop, rock, space, kraut rock, and just plain jamming. Recommended. Need to get some of the other SACD's of theirs that came out.

What's the difference between censorship and not letting people join? I mean, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want Merton on here -- some people win arguments through sheer stamina, and he would be one of them, I'd relent just to get him to shut up -- but if this is an experiment in open expression, I really don't see that happening if you are that careful to pick and choose who can join. To me, it seems like the same thing.
