  2. I made sloppy joes yesterday. It’s basically the same as my goulash recipe, except I run everything through a food processor first. Jar of pasta sauce (I used a Fra Diavola(?sp) this time) 1 can tomato paste 1 thing of mushrooms 1 thing of cauliflower 13 stalks of celery Cumin White pepper Black pepper Hungarian hot paprika 1 whole onion 5 red Thai peppers 1 package of ground meat (I used chicken this time) Beef broth Rice to soak up the extra liquid, and change the consistency from soupy to sloppy-joey And a dollop of garlic to taste no olives this time Bonus techno-fuckery

  4. Harder Better Faster Stronger Moar Better
  5. Unholy carp, Dusty needs to hear! Me, right now: some very nice krautrock:
  6. What are you saying, it’s going to float to the top? *ki-ki-ki*
  7. Now you’re making me wish Me First and the Gimme Gimmes covered more songs, including Fleetwood Mac.
  8. Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 hey, @Fitz, the tachikomas are back!
  9. I would love to hear these ladies cover Landslide.
  10. I’m just jealous of your weather, don’t mind me. It was a reference to that old prediction that everything West of the San Andreas Fault was going to fall into the ocean. Not sure why it’s no longer spoken in polite company...
  11. I’m with you on that. Way back when I was a lad, I didn’t listen to much pop music, but I did listen to these two albums (and a handful of others). I taped them on a single 90 minute cassette to listen in the car, and have thought of them together ever since.
  12. The feature I enjoy most is “track radio” as a way of discovering similar new music. It doesn’t work as well for classic rock, as they tend to lump all classic rock together, and if the music is too new, it tends not to exist, but it’s almost always worth it to me to check.
  13. Yeah, y’all keep yucking it up until you fall into the Pacific.
  14. Gotta disagree with you. You’re not upvoting tofu, you’re upvoting tofu as an ingredient. Pad Thai isn’t really complete without those little bits of tofu, just as an obvious example.
  15. Really digging on The Rhubarb these last 24 hours, I must’ve listened to the Black Sun EP a dozen times. The chick’s voice reminds me of Sara from Devics, except in a moar metaller context. Listen to “I’d Do Anything”: https://therhubarb.bandcamp.com/track/id-do-anything
  16. Yeah, I really like her performance and went a bit of a ways down the rabbit hole with her, too. She’s delightful!
  17. A Brazilion different versions of St. James Infirmary (3 guesses why). Louis Armstrong predates Typo Negative in slowing it down to half speed by decades. This version is nicely raucous, but I have no idea how to emulate that on one guitar:
