  1. It's just that threads like that are magnets for the whining about headfi, and we're trying to move beyond that
  2. Neither of those is what you want. Those are 1/4" stereo to 2 rcas. You need 1/4" mono to rca
  3. I just tag them all with the name of the piece, no subdivisions
  4. It's still in progress, and I haven't directly compared.
  5. Yah, that's why I was just going ahead, but august works better for me than june or july anyway
  6. You pretty much need a planer and a jointer to get completely square boards
  7. Ok, the library is out
  8. conference rooms/meeting space
  9. She's so beautifully broken You can barely see the flaw Especially from a distance Which is always how I fall Why do I fall for the dangerous ones The ones that never learned to let go And why do I lie to myself And pretend that I can break her When she's already been so Beautifully broken
  10. Colin also suggested the library at UMBC is available for a really good cost ($0)

  12. Riding like that, you're gonna be getting <30mpg I bet
  13. Monster's a great girls' bike. The problem I have with ducks is they're made for italians. People WAY shorter than I am. The triumphs have a better geometry for big peoples The daytona has always been a favorite of mine. I'm really interested in the buells, too. They seem like they're optimized for real world riding, rather than superbike racing. And the R6 is the single scariest bike I've ever ridden. WAY too much power to weight.
  14. DACs under $1000 that I've used and could recommend: minidac cec da53 duet pico DACs under $1000 that I've used and wouldn't recommend: zhaolu 1.3
  15. They use more fuel starting than running
  16. Just don't EVER post the other shots Hey Tyll, you coming to my dc meet in august?
  17. real world, good diesels ARE a lot better economy. plus bigger, and better performance
  18. NH is all boston commuters, boston retirees, and vacation homes
  19. Like NH is any different Anyway, I work in a different state than I live in, and my reasoning is exactly the opposite. I hate where my office is enough that I live and mostly work in another state.
  20. If he puts a "cheap" source to that O2/KGSS rig, I'll hire jacob to go kill him.
  21. mac mini + duet for $1000
  22. The big advantage to the prius is you show the world you care about fuel economy I miss my passat TDI. 45mpg reliably, 750+ miles per tank, would do 110 mph sustained (no speed limits in montana, took 5 hrs to go 550 miles).
  23. subterranean is having a 50% off sale for in print books, for people that like limited edition nice quality sf and horror
  24. but can you do stoppies yet?
  25. meet at nate's house in june!
