It looks like it is more likely to make landfall a lot closer to Miami than us, but the predicted track models all suck (as they do not really use models based upon the current ocean temperature gradients, especially regarding depth and wind pattern effects) so who knows.

I agree with you Jose. The current practice in the US is to utilize controlled burns. They are smaller and lower temperature fires, that mimic the temporal fire ecology of these forests. Do they do a good job with that mimicking? That is up for debate. But it is certainly better than the previous preservationist policy of total fire suppression. But then again, what the fuck do I know?

It definitely captured my interest, but I think there were only two episodes that I finished and did not think that they were really fucked up. Not that it was necessarily a bad thing.

Went for a nice walk on the beach this morning. Spent quite a bit of time watching a pod of dolphins and a squadron of pelicans hunting/feeding.
