  6. Looks like it's sent everyone in the DC area to the bottle. Wendy Rieger FTL. "It's about 7" too much!"
  7. Bastard. I should have turned on our hot tub this year.
  8. Pre-emptively, no!
  9. Blow blow shovel shovel blow blow shovel shovel lunch shovel shovel Pats game beer beer.
  10. Hubba hubba!
  11. I like ostrich. Kudu steaks are the business, too, but a bit hard to come by outside the local area. Town plow just went by and sealed up our driveway with a nice big berm of snow. Won't be going anywhere for a while.
  12. Still coming down hard here. Looks like we'll get a foot or so, easy. We're right on the edge of the Worcester snow band and usually get a couple inches more than the average for the region.
  13. Wow, we can has snow! So much for the glancing blow.
  14. Bits of her.
  15. You have a shovel in your hand. Take action!
  16. Had some outstanding human interactions at the Post Office (last day to get your cards in the mail) and at the grocery store (last few hours to stock up ahead of the big Nor'Easter). Then I went to the liquor store, where they were having a whisky tasting and everyone was pretty mellow.

  18. Of course we had a nice evening in the city planned for tonight. Not looking promising right now. Depends on what time the snow starts coming down...
  19. I am inexplicably drawn to them!
  20. Priority Mail's six days to Scotland estimate is looking a bit optimistic after two weeks. I wonder if HM Customs are in the mix?

  23. Hate to lift straight from Gizmodo, but this is truly, truly epic. And, when we get to part two, we find out that our critic dude basically is Reks.
  24. I think it's personal preference more than anything. I use only flats on my HF1s, could go either way with the HP1s and absolutely hate them on the HF2s. I find the HP1s still have enough bass with bowls and appreciate the slightly more expansive stage and better detail retrieval that I perceive with the driver slightly further from the ear. Dusty, one reason I asked was digging up an old Hirsch post where he stated very categorically that the polarity switches caused the HP1s to roll off far more quickly than the HP2s at both ends of the frequency spectrum. Now, I don't hear anything particularly out of the ordinary with my pair, but then I don't rate either my accumulated headphone experience or my ears particularly highly.
  25. Yay! As an aside, Jim, I think I marginally prefer bowls on them. Flats muddy things up just a touch too much, although they're not nearly as bad as on the HF2s.
