Took the kids for a sleepover with their favorite aunt, then drove up to Vermont for a little grown-up time with the Mrs. Currently drinking a Manhattan, eating a giant cheese plate and watching Family Guy, in bed. Semi-interesting fact, the sidewalks in Manchester are made out of marble.
Thanks all. Middle age isn't so bad so far. Dropped the kids off at school, fixed a nice high-fiber breakfast and just getting to grips with my new To Do list:
-- Buy golf clubs.
-- Fitting for tweed jacket.
-- Become audio bore
-- Call broker. Ladder CDs.
-- Change party affiliation.
-- Tawdry affair with young skank. (PM me if you know any. Or are one.)
If you've never had the regular flu shots before, it's two jabs one month apart. Otherwise, just one. The nurse said the swine flu vaccine will most likely be a single dose, as the most recent studies show it's effective enough that way. But it's not written in stone yet.
Yeah. We're being told to get both the regular shots now and the H1N1 when it's available in October. The swine flu is apparently much harder on the lungs and both my kids have pulmonary issues, so I see the risks of a new and obviously rush-tested vax as the lesser of two evils in this particular case.
