  1. You could put a note on your Web site saying SAA umbilicals have been determined to sap the vital juices from BHSE electrons and usage will thus void all HeadAmp warranties.

    ^^^ Also.
  3. Classy herringbone earcups, though. +1 tailoring.
  4. Can find absolutely nothing else about this new hawt new box apart from the clip on Simaudio's own site, but thought it was worth posting just to give Dinny a stiffy. Looks dangerous, and expensive. But a kickass (universal?) player with properly implemented digital input would be pretty damn sweet. And eight 32-bit DACs per channel is, like, a whole bucket of bits man!

  6. Dinny, what you want to do is an "Archive And Install". This will clean replace all the system underpinnings, while preserving your Users folder (with all your apps and docs etc.). Have a look here for details.

  8. iStat menus is back.
  9. Nirvana - Nevermind This is an HF-2 album!
  10. I have had no problems at all with Max in the last few months. It used to choke on 24/96 FLAC -> 24/96 ALAC but no longer does so in the current version.
  11. Congratulations (prospective) Dr. Doug.
  12. Jean Michel Jarre -- Oxygene
  13. My advice would be GS-1 and done. Other options -- M3, B22, SPL Auditor or Phonitor, Headroom Ultra. With $2K to spend in this niche, the world's pretty much your oyster.
  14. Mmm, carrot rolls. Eat your heart out, Alton Brown.
  15. Ryan Adams -- Heartbreaker
  16. Mmm. Cupcakes.
  17. Preliminary testing indicates that LastFM's fingerprinting can handle the null character OK. Looks like you can add the space to "Album Artist" with the same result and as a bonus the various versions still display grouped together when sorted by album.
  18. Dusty you bloody beaut, that's it. A space on the end of the album name and iTunes treats them as separate titles. I love you and I want to have your babies!
  19. It's all familiarity. After almost five years of looking after two kids full time, the only thing that really frightens me is the idea of having to deal with adults in the workplace again.
  20. Have another kid, then you'll be able to look back on these as the good times!
  21. You're onto something. Tube Chomper!
  22. Thanks JP. That certainly works for sorting -- I currently just have a smart playlist that looks for any song with a sample rate > 2000kbps, but your solution is simpler and better. What it won't do, though, is show the two albums as separate versions in the main grid view, which is what I'd ideally like to be able to accomplish without screwing with the titles. Not really a big deal, just one of those "but why can't I do this way" usability niggles.
