The problem is that to get a reasonable amount of storage it's still prohibitively expensive for someone trying to shop the way that Ian is. The cheapest stock SSD option (128GB) is a $315 add and I don't think he wants to be tearing into his virgin macbook and swaping out the HD himself which would only save about $100 based on the last time I shopped SSDs.

The wallpaper in our bathroom was so thick that we had use a wallpaper perforation tool, otherwise the steamer had no effect. I'd suggest looking into one, it made a night and day difference for us. Otherwise we rented a steamer for a day to do the one room and also used a chemical to help soften the adhesive backing. I'm glad it was the only room in the house with paper.

Rumor has it that if you call AT&T now and threaten (nicely) to cancel/leave that they'll offer you an unlimited data plan in an effort at customer retention. I heard this from a reliable source (tech journalist's podcast) but obviously have no direct experience to relate.

As usual, I think that's a pretty cool thing that Pete's got cooked up and hits a scary low price point ($200 + chassis). If I wasn't bent on retirement I'd build one just for kicks but the wife would kill me and I've got no place for it.

I'll give it a thorough thrashing tomorrow clearing the deck before the 4 to 6" of snow/slush/ice gets here tomorrow night. There's a short video at the link above which is pretty accurate. One important thing to note is that it'll only throw snow straight out of the shoot which does limit/dictate how you use it.
