  1. From what I understand Ken to say that a musical note is a single frequency is overly simplistic. There's life above 20 kilohertz! A survey of musical instrument spectra to 102.4 kHz
  2. Some little jackass. We'll give him a couple more days to do the right thing before the royal roasting begins.
  3. Must be the season for fraud, I filed a PP dispute this morning. Granted, it's a pretty minor one ($30 + some parts) but it's the annoyance of it that irks me.
  4. Looks like a great remote to me. Buttons are sufficiently unique in size and shape to allow for differentiation without the need to look at them and there aren't 953 tiny little buttons to allow you to tweak every last setting. Any rumors on the price of this thing?

  6. Pretty hard to tell what SC stocks, those guys have been updating their website for almost as long as Mikhail.
  7. Yeah, they still do. It's just over $10 a foot from them.
  8. a) Drew is the only source of the bulk cable that I'm aware of and even 3 years ago it was more than $6 a foot. since you seem to have been referring to Dan's comment and he uses a cable I made for him I'm not sure if that was a shot at me or not. It'd be weird if it was since I'm pretty sure you have no idea what I charged him (or anyone else for that matter) for his Senn cable. Otherwise referring to the bulk cable cost of the Cardas Senn cable (and incorrectly at that) in reference to the cost of a finished, warrantied cable like GE's, APS's or otherwise doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either.
  9. Can I have Mike again, please?

Hmmm, there are definitely custom title possibilities there.
  11. Unleash the full fury of the law on him Mike.
  12. He's been perma-banned from this site.
  13. According to several folks there's no "closely" about it.
  14. Right now I'm wondering if I should post a picture of the beta22 and claim that it is Mike's XMass exchange gift. I could say it's in the spirit of the Krmathis build and that I'd decided to give it to whomever I was partnered with in the exchange.
  15. Thanks Vincent, I'm 90% sure you'll get to meet it in NYC in less than 2 weeks. Mike is insisting I properly burn it in before shipping. And thanks to everyone for the kind words. I swapped the input jfets on the problematic channel tonight and the amp is now a DC offset free zone.
  16. Yeah, AT&T's coverage around me is crap, there's no way I could have an Iphone.
  17. Much, thanks. Now we'll get to work on some sort of crafty custom title for you.
  18. I wouldn't worry about that. The Menace's output impedance is quite a bit higher than that and most who listened to it with Grados couldn't have cared less about what the output impedance measurement said the amp should perform like.
  19. Switch to a 6SN7, should be much easier to see. Doesn't sound like your problem is related to anything that simple based on what you said below. i tried listening to the amp earlier today on two separate occasions. both times about 5 minutes into the first song, the left channel doesnt dim and then then die out...it just goes away after a little "bloop" sound. the right channel goes strong as ever but no sound out of the left channel after that "bloop" sound.
