  1. yeah my suggestions were as a joke. I like your current title.
  2. I feel your pain. I currently have a bunch of suits that don't fit worth crap (losing 60lbs will do that) and I need to buy some more but I just can't bring myself to do it. At least my best suit is a suspender number and still fits ok.
  3. Oh I'm not citizen yet. It's a few years away..... Stretch definitely deserves a toast though
  4. "Likes playing with woodies" "Ask him about his wood" "Plays with big sticks"
  5. Congrats stretch! Between you and me we're going to help raise the average height of US Citizens!
  6. Yup and so that your cycling bib shorts no longer rip your frigging leg hairs out. Well and also it's part of the rules: The Rules I did for the first time last weekend (took forever) but it grows back fast.
  7. realized that keeping your legs shaved is a massive PITA
  8. My BS call was for "RMAA isn't professional enough" or some such. RMAA is fine for what that guy was posting. Is it a AP system? No. That said casting aspersions on the guys technique then showing that you used it is pretty BS as far as I am concerned. As far as preferring roll off that's fine, in the Wadia and others it's minimum phase filter which includes phase shift too (if I remember correctly) and it does exactly what Fang says which is make things sound less digital especially on cymbal hits etc where the track was poorly downsampled or sampled in the first place or has clipping.
  9. I love that now industry is allowed to respond and spout bull shit in threads.
  10. My attempt to use voice command for the intersection of Haight and Ashbury in SF
  11. found a bug in the code my team developed that has the possibility to have affected millions of dollars of delivered work and currently have no money/time to figure out how much it really affected anything. I'm so livid that this wasn't found earlier by me or others. FML. At least I know why things haven't been working for the last 6 weeks. Tomorrow I get to go and explain this to my customer and hopefully not get yelled at too loudly since we have probably burned through a small fortune finding said bug.
  12. jeez I was just saying that they had not replied yet and hence I had not ordered. I was not making any comment about their customer service. Sorry to disturb the hornets nest. btw. my questions were along the lines of "will I be able to do my own IRFs/EQ?" not "what are you doing" that would require a white paper of information I would not expect them to give me.
  13. Popping the question? Glad life's good My work life blows monkey balls but my home/non-work life is awesome.
  14. The lack of a reply from them is saving me a lot of money
  15. Congrats Fitz on discovering who you are
  16. Congrats on the wins Vicki and Colin (Just realized I never said that). I emailed JHA with a bunch of questions yesterday but haven't heard back yet, but I assume they are working them or ignoring them because the were DSP/geek type questions.
  17. I'm sure if you spoke to them they could apply the value towards some JH-3A if you like......
  18. Steve, good on you for having the strength to do that. It's all good as many others have said. Same to you Shelly, I am glad you've found someone.
  19. Ok even as an professed Apple disliker I was very impressed but I'm not to sure how I feel about having banner ads in the OS. Edit: Nissan is locking the leaf to only iphone ads? Better tell the 10000 plus people that have preordered that....
  20. It's here: Steve Jobs live from WWDC 2010 -- Engadget
  21. Colin won a pair? Awesome
  22. Sorry I misunderstood. I see how you meant it. Actually doing Apple DAC->ADC->DSP-DAC is a recipe for jitter but who knows how much. You're right that avoiding the apple DAC and the JH ADC is likely the way to go..
  23. You (almost certainly) were hearing the internal DAC(s) but you were hearing the ADC too.
  24. I'm guessing the only difference between the digital input and analog is the ADC that turns the analog to digital. I say this because I am assuming that the crossover is entirely done in the digital domain because it is tunable etc and implementing that with physical filters would be a massive PITA. In a small portable setup the DACs aren't going to be works of art but I'm sure they can be made good enough that you'll never know the difference. I'd be interested to learn what ADC and DACs they use.
