Why not just buy a high power PS Audio (or similar) re-generator? Then you get clean power anywhere. It was way cheaper for me than running a dedicated line.
I am very excited for the Motorola Atrix
Motorola Atrix 4G, HD multimedia dock, and laptop dock hands-on -- Engadget
A dual core phone that I can dock and use as a nettop... frigging sweet.
I'm aiming for 7000 or 8000 miles on the bike this year.
And yes metabolizing fat truly sucks. Some people are just naturals at it and I'm not. I know this guy (longtime cyclist) takes up marathon at 53 and does an under 12hrs in his first Ironman, blew me away.
Cool. I know how you feel on the knackered part. I'm in the final week of a standard 4 week build cycle and I've got around 6 more hours of riding in the aerobic zone to get in in the next 3 days and a high intensity weight lifting session. I am looking forward to my recover week of only 5.5hrs of working out next week.
I am doing this while attempting to maintain a pretty strict calorie restriction and while the weight is falling pretty rapidly I am feeling like shit when I clear more than 1.5 hrs into any particular workout. It's only going to get worse over then next 8-12 weeks as I have 2 more base cycles with long hours on the bike before I back off. I'm aiming for 400 hrs (plus race hours) this year.
Do you use a workout tracking software? I'm a big fan of Training Peaks.
Good on you sir. Not to discourage but the general thought among sports physiologists is to take at least one day totally off or at least really really light a week.
damn it's snowing already and I have to drive out to Carderock MD for a meeting which means I get to deal with snowy traffic on the way home... yay...
edit: x2 on the epic retitle
Yeah I guess. I had to join because of my cycling club's Cat 4/5 racing team doing all the organizing through it. We'll see if it was worth the time sink.
I really don't need them and I'm happy with my 800s but that said I want to hear them rather badly. I wonder if I can find a balanced pair to borrow....
what are the weird things in the back that look like a bowl on stand?
I am probably never going to be able to justify them but the Lipinski's look amazing...
Great point. I thought that the effect due to this interaction was usually considered jitter too or at least that's what the pro equipment manuals call it when they warn you to use good cables for this etc.
Woke up to get my bike ready for a suitably cold ass ride but then it started snowing...
Instead of riding I discovered that my stuttering issue on my music laptop when using wireless vs wired network connections appears to be a non-issue any longer and I'm not sure what is the cause but I'll take it. My shitty home power plug based wired connection was slower than tar.
Good luck with the job if you want it. What kind of analyst?
I know a guy who's an oil trader for shell but it's in Dubai. He's proud of the fact that he has a hand in driving up the price of oil. That's pretty much the outlook you have to have.
I actually interviewed with a bunch of oil companies when I decided to leave academia and even went so far as to look into houses in Houston etc but luckily I didn't get any of them. I think they could sense my overall hatred of the companies even if the work was interesting. I would have just left in a year or two anyway.
