Yeah I've heard lots of negative stuff. I'll 3D print a clip if it breaks and finally put my printer to good used.

I'm sure it is but I'd say you still made the right choice. For my use case it still makes little sense. In 3 years when I don't have to be listening every second to hear if one of my kids is trying to kill themselves then maybe.

I went to be really early yesterday as I've been sick. If I'm up and available I'd be in for an hour or so of racing at 1030. Ordered a TrackIR5 with Pro Clip, should be here this weekend.

Still mostly car games here. Turned "pro" in Dirt Rally. Would love to do some Project Cars racing again. At some point I will get the head tracking system.
  5. One thing to note (which may or may not be common knowledge) is that ST the Recaros pretty much require you shove your butt up into the corner of the seat and sit fairly upright which makes the bolster make much more sense and be comfortable.
  6. Yeah it's narrow Recaro seating but you do not move at all when whipping around corners. I like them for the purpose but I could see them literally being a pain in the ass for some
  7. Yeah I like the firm hug they give you but I would not want to do it for 5 hours...
  8. Signed up for the Level 2 course because the Level 1 course is full and I had done the Level 1 a while back. I will have to do some reading to refresh my memory. Also took Jeff for a ride and I hope he was a little impressed with the ST.
  9. I see R fairly often. Still a great car (just not for me). I am probably going to do a Cobb stage 3 or the Motune equivalent at some point if I don't get into autocross. Thinking about the local autocross level 1 class in a week.
  10. Pretty sweet. The dealer put in the wrong remote start in it (key fob installed, but cell phone based ordered) so that will need to be fixed but otherwise seems great. Also noticed that there was a scratch on the one of the passenger windows of my Focus ST and they have agreed to replace it. Expensive for them but the car should be pristine when new.
  11. I love Progressive we have had 2 claims that were handled great. And yes State Farm is nuts
  12. I would recommend that he at least try the Focus ST

I'm with Dan, that's a very nice looking watch and congrats on the weight loss! Man there are a lot of different watches that look amazing. I'm going to stick with the GS though (I think).

^ I have one and I paid about that on Kickstarter years ago. It's fun but probably not something you'd use that much so it gets hard to justify. If you think you'll print stuff that has value to you then do it but all I've gotten out of mine is some office knick-knacks and a couple things the kids played with for a few hours. I still have plans to print some stuff for my bikes but I haven't gotten around to designing it yet so....

Enjoy Larry. I didn't know you were looking at the spring drive diver.
  16. Congrats on the sale! What are you getting?
  17. She's very excited and I'm excited for her. We went with pretty much option available so it's going to take the dealer a little while to get the parts in and everything installed but I will post some pics. The Mazda website doesn't do the dark blue justice at all, really beautiful in person. Reminds me that they should include a touch up kit... Edit: Friday it appears and got a free touch up kit

I did a bit more reading and apparently the differences are that 1) Titanium is lighter and scratches less, 2) once scratched shows the scratches more 3) has gold/yellow letters rather than white. Apparently the way they finish the titanium they are very hard to tell apart other than the lettering.

Yeah I was going back and forth between the two. The initial offer I got from a US dealer brought the titanium down to the stainless price. I decided that the titanium was worth the up charge to have a watch that weighed 1/3 less.

My wife liked my plan but it's going to be a while before I buy it but I am excited.
  21. Grad school was amazing for me too. Good luck.
  22. Mazda CX-5 in dark blue (stock photo): Should be great for my wife.

I am thinking that this titanium spring drive diver (SBGA031) going to be the watch I get for our anniversary (as long as it doesn't go out of production). I already have a chronograph with my Zenith El Primero. The Breitling Emergency is something of an oddball but fun. I have wanted a spring drive chronograph for years but the diver checks more boxes and is bombproof to boot. This would be my first serious watch purchase as the ones I have now were gifts.
