  1. With the PerfectWave on the way, I now have a balanced source. My KGSS is balanced as is my McCormack DNA 1 (will be shipped for repairs Monday). I'm looking for a pre that will allow me to go balanced out to the McCormack and use a balanced loop out to the KGSS. The only one I can find in the under $2000 price range is the BAT VK-5i. Wyred 4 Sound has a preamp with 2 balanced outs. I emailed them to see if they could make one of them a loop or tape out. I know that BAT gear is supposed to be excellent so it is a possibility. I am curious if someone else knows of any other in the under $2000 range. Thanks
  2. I'm so happy I can be of assistance.
  3. Blah, blah, blah. Don't be haters.
  4. I think the iPad is a cool product but I'm not sure I have a use for it.
  5. I love repeat customers.
  6. Forsaken, that's a bit strong. I've never had a balanced source and amp at the same time. With the KGSS and PW, I will have both. I just ordered 15' Emotiva xlr cables so I can keep the KGSS on the desk to the right of where I sit. It was causing a ground loop in my system and moving it eliminated the problem. I love the ULN-2 but I am not using it as a phono stage as it has been too noisy. The move to an Amarra 4 will not happen, it's too expensive. I'm hoping the PW does the trick. I can run SE into my speaker rig and b22 and balanced to the KGSS, an option I don't have with the LN-2. Jim, not sure what I am going to do. I have one person that has expressed an interest in the ULN-2 but nothing definite.
  7. Perfect Wave. I couldn't let dinny have all the DACses.
  8. Sell me your hf-2's.
  9. I would only in terms of both are more transportable than a macbook pro.
  10. I was thinking about this as well. Especially if it could be tethered to an iphone for 3G.
  11. It's built in.
  12. Maybe 3G is not needed. All I need to do is go to a Starbucks when I'm out and need the internets via wifi. In terms of memory, I will not need any music on it as I will have my iphone.
  13. Multitasking was the other issue that was a problem for me but as Stretch said, it will probably be added down the road. I rarely had the desire to get a netbook. However, I would take this with the limitations over a netbook any day, even at the higher price.
  14. There will be any number of aftermarket stands for this. I assume a keyboard as hopefully other devices will connect via bluetooth. For me, the 3G with ATT is fine as that is what I have and it works fine in Florida. A front facing camera would have been cool for video conferencing. The lack of a camera is a problem for me but not a huge one. The limit of 64 gb is not great but probably not a deal breaker. I knew they would never have a card reader but that would have been a nice option. I think this is something I may wait a generation before jumping in like I did with the iphone. I'm guessing that it will work nicely with a time capsule as a music server. However, I can use my macmini, which will have to remain no matter what to connect to my metric halo, and iphone remote or the display I have set up that is connected to the mini. I don't know. It's pretty cool but maybe a generation or two from something I would want.
  15. It does look white but I think it may be the lighting and is aluminum.
  16. Here you go: macrumors
  17. Of course, it has a RSA Shadow built in.

  19. It appears that the CEO of McGraw-Hill has confirmed that the tablet will be iphone OS based: macrumors
  20. I think I forgot to post that I picked up a pair of Stax 4070's off of A'gon.
  21. I haven't bought it...yet but I do have a demo PS-1000 on the way.
  22. I would be shocked if it wasn't wifi enabled. The iphone and itouch are both, why would they not wifi enable the ipad.
  23. A bundle plan makes sense. As Nate said, I would use this mostly when on wifi. Hopefully someone will figure out how to tether it to an iphone using pdanet.
  24. Here is to hoping there is a Verizon enabled one for you island dwellers.
