  1. I think the iPad is a cool product but I'm not sure I have a use for it.
  2. I love repeat customers.
  3. Forsaken, that's a bit strong. I've never had a balanced source and amp at the same time. With the KGSS and PW, I will have both. I just ordered 15' Emotiva xlr cables so I can keep the KGSS on the desk to the right of where I sit. It was causing a ground loop in my system and moving it eliminated the problem. I love the ULN-2 but I am not using it as a phono stage as it has been too noisy. The move to an Amarra 4 will not happen, it's too expensive. I'm hoping the PW does the trick. I can run SE into my speaker rig and b22 and balanced to the KGSS, an option I don't have with the LN-2. Jim, not sure what I am going to do. I have one person that has expressed an interest in the ULN-2 but nothing definite.
  4. Perfect Wave. I couldn't let dinny have all the DACses.
  5. Sell me your hf-2's.
  6. I would only in terms of both are more transportable than a macbook pro.
  7. I was thinking about this as well. Especially if it could be tethered to an iphone for 3G.
  8. It's built in.
  9. Maybe 3G is not needed. All I need to do is go to a Starbucks when I'm out and need the internets via wifi. In terms of memory, I will not need any music on it as I will have my iphone.
  10. Multitasking was the other issue that was a problem for me but as Stretch said, it will probably be added down the road. I rarely had the desire to get a netbook. However, I would take this with the limitations over a netbook any day, even at the higher price.
  11. There will be any number of aftermarket stands for this. I assume a keyboard as hopefully other devices will connect via bluetooth. For me, the 3G with ATT is fine as that is what I have and it works fine in Florida. A front facing camera would have been cool for video conferencing. The lack of a camera is a problem for me but not a huge one. The limit of 64 gb is not great but probably not a deal breaker. I knew they would never have a card reader but that would have been a nice option. I think this is something I may wait a generation before jumping in like I did with the iphone. I'm guessing that it will work nicely with a time capsule as a music server. However, I can use my macmini, which will have to remain no matter what to connect to my metric halo, and iphone remote or the display I have set up that is connected to the mini. I don't know. It's pretty cool but maybe a generation or two from something I would want.
  12. It does look white but I think it may be the lighting and is aluminum.
  13. Here you go: macrumors
  14. Of course, it has a RSA Shadow built in.
  15. From The Onion: SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY Frantic Steve Jobs Stays Up All Night Designing Apple Tablet JANUARY 27, 2010 | ISSUE 46
  16. It appears that the CEO of McGraw-Hill has confirmed that the tablet will be iphone OS based: macrumors
  17. I think I forgot to post that I picked up a pair of Stax 4070's off of A'gon.
  18. I haven't bought it...yet but I do have a demo PS-1000 on the way.
  19. I would be shocked if it wasn't wifi enabled. The iphone and itouch are both, why would they not wifi enable the ipad.
  20. A bundle plan makes sense. As Nate said, I would use this mostly when on wifi. Hopefully someone will figure out how to tether it to an iphone using pdanet.
  21. Here is to hoping there is a Verizon enabled one for you island dwellers.
  22. Damn Al, that is impressive. I'm missing the Old Rip VW and the Buffalo Trace. Stretch, I'm curious to hear what you think of the 404LE. I really like mine out of the KGSS.
  23. There was an rumored price leak. $500 - $600 with contract and $1000 without. The rumors also suggest that T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint will be getting the iphone over the next 6 - 9 months. If there is an ATT contract and $600 price, I will likely be in. The other question is what will be the additional monthly cost for 3G.
  24. Round trip tickets to NYC for the meet.
