Matt, just do it like I'm doing it. Keep it simple and you can do it easily at your place. Naaman, any update on the Pliny?

What did you do today?
Why so soon? My brother in law and I, mostly him, finally got the sink and disposal working. The only leak is from a defective disposal which will be replaced under warranty. We had a bunch of issues due to moving from a two drain sink to a single drain. It's nice to have a fully functional sink after 7 days of being without.

We are keeping the cabinets as is for now. We will refinish in darker wood at the end of the year. We decided the cabinets don't look so bad with the granite and hopefully better once the back splash is in. We will probably do laminate in the kitchen over the tile. I hate the tile more than the cabinets.

What did you do today?
Not nearly as exciting as bungee jumping, I left work early to watch the new kitchen counter tops installed. The back splash will be done on Monday. It only took 17 years.

It's not bad. It's a bit on the harsh side but tasty. It's sweet and light taste of fruit and the finish has been described by others as peppery. That seems pretty accurate to me. It's different from pretty much every other whiskey I've tried. I'm sure the harshness is from the lack of aging. It's worth the $40 price tag.

The Tequila was from an associate whose dad came to visit from Mexico. The other is Dead Guy Whiskey. The last thing I needed was another bottle of whiskey but it looked interesting.

How did A'gon let it happen? Some guy opens and account, places an ad, two people send money for the same non-existent gear. I don't see it but I could be missing something. The ad was placed 9 days ago and the bad feedback was today, so I assume the other guy paid based upon the same ad. I just don't know what A'gon could've known. I would be looking on finding this guy, if possible, contacting the other guy scammed to see what he knows, try to contact local authorities in the UK. Possibly a longshot but it's a lot of money.

That truly sucks.

I am so something will give as a result. I've worked out favorable terms with Bob. In addition, some times I have no control, okay, many times.

Preamp with at least 1 balanced in, 1 balanced out, and one balanced loop/tape out?
I can't spend the $ on that at the moment, as tempting as it is. I think I may hold out for a diy solution. Granite is being installed this week so the money pit has opened.

Well, my snipe was $25 short on the PS-1's on ebay which is good as I shouldn't be spending $2300 on a pair of headphones at the moment.

The Live Music Thread
Big weekend. Thursday was John Mayer/Michael Franti and Spearhead, Friday was Further. Last night the NFL put on a free concert on Fort Lauderdale beach with Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Bare Naked Ladies and O.A.R. It was a blast.

Wow, the knife rec's are coming fast and furious. Thanks. I wasn't planning on getting anything right away but maybe a new knife or two is in order for the new kitchen.

Preamp with at least 1 balanced in, 1 balanced out, and one balanced loop/tape out?
I've just come to the realization that if I use that PWD as the preamp, then under all scenarios any out from a switch, like the Goldpoint or Darwin, will always be controlled by the volume control of the PWD and the KGSS in my case. The only way to avoid this is to buy a preamp with a pass thru like the GSX, as an example. This was probably obvious to others but not to me. I can live with that solution which makes the GP attractive as it's available and has a source selector. Is there an advantage to the Darwin and am I correct in the above assumption?
