  1. We need more info on the RH KGSS. I will try to convince thrice to build them, if he isn't now, when he's nice and drunk this coming weekend in Mayberry.
  2. I think we have the muscle for it. We can grab the Teres then hit Santa Rosa for the Manley Snappers. Although Grandenigma's BAT is looking pretty tempting at the moment. DIY for you guys. I had enough trouble getting the jumpers right on the Dynavector P-75 so I could get sound out of both speakers.
  3. I do feel bad about that. If you want to try the P-75, I can send it up to you for a visit. I have another phono here that I'm evaluating.
  4. It might have been the other gear I had at the time that led to my conclusion about the Denon cart. It's nice little phono considering it was under $400. At the moment I have a mm cart.
  5. That's what I figure. Unfortunately, Teres don't show up too often and I've never seen a Galibier on Audiogon.
  6. Can't buy, not took my money.
  7. Look who decides to join us. Are you kidding. He made me feel so guilty about possibly buying it that I told him he could have it. If he gets with in a half mile of that table, I will never see it. As it is I thinks it's history. To think, I was hoping to make you a great deal on my current deck. Just kidding
  8. I had one of those on one deck or another and didn't like it too much. My recollection is that it was a bit bright for my tastes. I know there are a lot of people that love that cart. I think I am f'd on the Teres. The guy hasn't returned my emails since Wed. It's still not marked sold. His feedback as 2 negatives and a neutral that were similar issues. I know someone trying to buy his Sutherland phono stage and hasn't received an email back. I'm assuming I am screwed, well not really as I enjoy the deck I have but the Teres was one I could really build on. Picked up a Dynavector P-75 to compare to the Audio Horizons phono I have for a 30 day home audition. A nice pair of Manley Snappers for sale. Anyone want to buy all my gear so I can get them.
  9. I'm hoping with the upcoming release of the Software Development Kit (I think that's what it's called) someone will write a program that will allow the iphone to sync with outlook for calendar and contacts. If that happens, I will buy three for the office.
  10. I didn't do an extensive volume matched comparision between the two before shipping the Duet to you but my initial impression was that they were comparable. Once it returns (no rush) I will give it a shot. I'm still in my vinyl honeymoon stage so no digital being played for the last 1 1/2 weeks.
  11. Nice comp Nate.
  12. That's a pic from a review. I don't know the type of arm. Mine comes without an arm and cart.
  13. $350,000 is a little out of my league.
  14. I was planning on meeting jp at RMAF in '08 to go audition both the Teres and Galibier decks. I think Teres and Galibier have similar roots in DIY. I still plan on going, the question is whether I need to buy a new tt.
  15. A Teres or Galibier were the decks I had planned on buying at the end of the year. Then this one shows up on A'gon so I jumped. I haven't paid but he asked for my shipping info to figure out cost so I'm sure it's a done deal. Now I have to sell the table I have and pick up an arm and cart. If anyone is interested in the my Acoustic Solid, ready to go with a arm and cart, let me know.
  16. I went a little nuts and took a step closer to my ultimate tt:
  17. If you have a mac notebook than the Duet is portable as it's powered from the firewire port. It's portable in the sense that if you were at a Starbucks or wherever you could easily use the Duet, especially if you had a cable made (the one that comes with it is a lot to carry around as it has several different possible connections, only one set you need). However, if you really want something portable, then the Pico is your choice. Even if the sq wasn't the equal of the Duet (I'm not saying it isn't), it sounds excellent and I don't believe you would be disappointed. It will also serve as a truely portable amp for an ipod or other dap, which the Duet can't. In your situation, I would go with the Pico.
  18. I really like the Duet and I have to say that the Pico can definitely hang with it. I will have to wait from my Duet to return before I can do a more thorough comparison. I use the Pico everyday in my office and love the dac. I use the amp with my ipod and love it as well. It may be the best audio $500 I've spent, perhaps tied with the Duet. Now we need to get Justin to get busy on the stat amps.
  19. Happy 50th! I'm not too far behind.
  20. PJ, You have dibs, if you don't find a pair, still want them and I decide to sell. I'll decide once I hear the 1.3 in Mayberry in two weeks.
  21. You mean these :
  22. Thanks. It's an Acoustic Solid Classic Wood with speed controller:
  23. Tom Kha soup, a six of Dale's Pale Ale and Dead Guy Ale.
  24. I'm going to assume this is what you were referring to:
  25. I forgot about the candy. There is always a bunch thrown in the box.
