As we now have a twenty-two year history of "puppy proofing" at the shack, my girls' chief source of extracurricular taste delights comes on their nightly walks. We're always more careful the day after trash day. It remains for me a question of wonder why a spaniel finds such yummy delight in the kibbles that emerge from the south end of a northbound rabbit.

Depends what for and where you are fishing. Fly fishing is actually just a technique for fishing with naturally small live () or artificial baits by using the weight of the line to cast. I fly fish when it's appropriate. Recently, fly fishing been sold as an alternate lifestyle (and a balm for their arrogant egos) to a bunch of poseurs for big bucks. Mostly, they just get cashectomized. Now me, however and whatever I fish for, it's for supper.

I've been a big fan since "Scatterlings" came out on vinyl in the early 80s. I've got most of Jaluka's and Savuka's releases on LP and only two Jaluka CDs. I've also got a bootleg tape of their concert at the Park West in Chicago from way back. It ends with a wonderful long drum/percussion solo. This morning, I had to work at my desk, so I put the "Best of" on the #1 rig since it had the longest uninterupted playing time. And Stone Roses are damn fine, too.
