  6. Happy Birthday! Have a great one!!
  7. I don't listen to music while riding. On our tandem we wear a communication device so we can talk. The ear pad is open. Wind noise isn't much of an issue most of the time, but then again we're cruisin at a leisurely 15mph. I wouldn't wear an IEM of any sort. I own the Yuin PK2 and this would be the only solution worthy of trial IMO.
  8. Just read this thread. Really sorry to hear that. Hoping you get it operational shortly.
  9. Just returned from taking my oldest grandson (4) camping for the weekend. The private campground had planned activities. Took him to the open meet of the White Creek Railroad which is 1:8 scale trains. This is the 3rd largest layout in the US with 5 miles of main line and just short of 8 miles total including side tracks. The members give guests a ride, typically about 20 minutes. Our host had us out for more than an hour. Great fun! The kids got to make their owned shaved ice, created fathers day cards, rode the "train" ride in the campground (little cars pulled by a golf cart) as well as hay rides and all the playground toys and pool. Little guy ran his little legs off and slept like a log. A great weekend for both the grand parents and the grandson.
  10. Sure, that's possible. No doubt there are other plausible explanations. On the other hand Luxman was willing to provide more US specific P1s, but needed a guarantee for 50 units. That didn't materialize and then coincidently some parts became unobtanium. Perhaps it is a coincidence. Perhaps not. Either way I find it an odd situation.
  11. I had heard silver, and was also told September ... but all we have to do is look at the HD800 and PS1000 to see that manufacturing doesn't always go as planned. I find this whole scenario a little strange. I recall reading the reputed reason for stopping P1 production had to do with a lack of parts availability (never specified which parts). No doubt a marketing prelude to the introduction of the P1 mkII. The P1 was not a limited production run ... the US version was limited to 10 units.
  12. $3000ish is certainlty the rumor. Apparently it won't be available until late 2009 or early 2010.
  13. Lot's of wisdom packed into that saying! Oh, and Happy Birthday to Lily too
  14. Took the afternoon off and went down to the start of the Festival of the Arts. This is a celebration of local art, music and food. Happened to catch this local indie band before I headed back home. I'm not a big indie fan, but a fun sound and high energy. 15. Simply beautiful...easy on the eyes and fine craftsmanship too.
  16. Seems like I'm not quite settled yet. From my current headphone inventory... 1. Ath-W5000 2. RS-1 (newer style) 3. K501
  17. Nice to see Santa hangs here too. Welcome Wayne.
  18. I can't believe I'm being sucked in by the siren call of another can. The HD800? PS 1000?oh no, it's the HF-2! I'll give it another 24 hours to see if the need to buy passes. If not I'll call Todd and add my name to the list.
  19. Still on the fence. Not clear to me what the HF-2 offers (other than potential collector value) that the RS-1 doesn't already provide.
  20. Rush and Grados. Always a good combo Looking forward to finding out where these fit in the Grado lineup.
