  1. I guess that was about as close to a formal apology as you can muster right now.
  2. I'm a Juris Doctor, but I can't even stand to watch ER with all the guts and stuff. And John Stamos' 18 o'clock shadow. Eww.
  3. And aeriusland is one corner of Jacob's bare dirt basement where those particular remains are decomposing. PeterPinnaLand and marklland are different plots.
  4. I found the answer. He's holed up in a hotel room stuffing himself with Ho-Hos. Now he can't fit in his black clothing any longer so he cannot come outside.
  5. So your website says you three "professional engineers" met on your first day of college, so what is it that we are getting wrong? At best, you are engineering students and you might want to consider the issue of false advertising before SARN Industries gets too far along on it path to world domination. And as for the hate thing, Guzzi has it right. I don't hate you at all, but I disrespect you on many levels that you reconfirm on a daily basis. Your inauspicious first day on Head-Case is a prime example. Disdain is about as much as I can muster in terms of feelings about you, but you love the attention so much that I am going to do my best to ignore you and hope you go away or get banned quickly for the asshat that you are.
  6. My question is how is Luminette a High Roller before his first pussy post?
  7. 9/11 people! It's obviously an Al Qaeda plot. If we stop posting because -=she=- is a member, then the terrorists have already won.
  8. Sorry, Jack, you just have to get them both. It is a really hard choice because they both sound excellent and the music is great. If you have heard both and like the Silver, then I will agree that is the one to go for. It is more unique and really fun. The Tina Brooks album is an amazing album and not one I was familiar with, but it is a little more straight up hard bop.
  9. I listened to about half of it today, and it seems like a fun album.
  10. You do know that Justin and HeadAmp have difficulty releasing their high-end amps in a timely fashion, don't you? I hope you can hold out under the pressure of waiting to show off with a photo-filled look-at-me thread, unlike some fine upstanding headphone amp purchasers.
  11. I'll try to listen in the next few days and let you know. Ditto on the good JD get, Deepak. The originals are very cool, but I have yet to compare with the reissues.
  12. No shit! I saw Frissell at the Vanguard the weekend of the first national head-fi meet. Only time I have been there.
  13. Just got the Moanin' today so I haven't even opened it up. I have yet to open the Silver and the Brooks from Music Matters, so I better get on the stick!
  14. Just received Kenny Burrell Midnight Blue, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers Moanin, Fred Jackson Hootin' N Tootin', all on 45RPM by Hoffman/Gray for Analogue Productions.
  15. You had already changed the date, so what does it matter that I didn't point it out? I don't intend to continue this dialog at all, but if you didn't want to have this type of public exchange, then maybe you could have sent Grahame a PM instead of posting commentary on both sites. And as for smilies setting the tone, I don't think that saying something you really mean and then sticking a tongue smily at the end changes it one bit. Check your email because I sent you some comments on your contract with the hotel. Have a great meet.
  16. They are pictured in their correct orientation, so they look like they are lying on their side but they are not. Seems pretty stable to me. The main question would be whether your speaker is wide enough to sit on the two end pieces.
  17. Maybe -=she=- would be up for taking the lead organizing role!
  18. Come on David, if you really think that this meet is a dry run for CJ09 then you had better do a lot more advertising and hyping. I can see it as a way to energize the so-cal folks who haven't had a real meet in two years, but you cannot expect it to draw more than a couple of people from nor cal or anywhere else. I was thinking of trying to make the 25th into some kind of family trip to Disneyland (which we had discussed as a possibility this Fall) with a side-trip for me but then you changed the date late in the game to a weekend where I was already committed. Such is life, but don't try to guilt Grahame or me or anybody else because the local meets 300 miles apart now happen to fall on the same day. If you want to create divisions, then you're doing a good job.
  19. Grahame did say he wanted to have a meet on this date -- the day before Burning Amp in Marin -- before you set Oct. 25 as a So-Cal meet date and even longer before you moved the date to Oct. 18. I don't think this small event will impact your meet at all, and we can have fun with it by playing it up as a state-wide event. Or, you could continue to post snarky comments here and on HF. Your choice.
  20. That is a very helpful comparison, Ric, typos or no. And in any event, it's not like a mitchb post or anything, so you don't need to advertyiose it.
