February 22, 200719 yr comment_26222 My MPX3 in the toaster variety isn't turning on. Any suggestions? Report
February 22, 200719 yr comment_26226 It is likely brokered and quite simply doesn't like you.... open her up and make sure the coils and such look normal. Report
February 22, 200719 yr Author comment_26239 I opened it up last night, and didn't see anything obvious, and didn't see anything that looked like a fuse...at least not the glass tubes I was expecting. Report
February 22, 200719 yr comment_26241 Some fuses are ceramic, but in this case I don't think a ceramic fuse would be used. Didn't some other folks have trouble with the power switches on the older toaster MPX amps? Report
February 22, 200719 yr comment_26243 Some amps use a fuse holder, which conceals the little fuse. So many other things that it could be though. Biggie. Report
February 22, 200719 yr comment_26244 Grawk, I assume that you checked the IEC inlet to make sure that it doesn't have a built in fuse. It might not be the most obvious thing and I don't know if Mikhail has ever used inlets of that type. It might looking something like this. Also, it could definitely be something like the switch. If you've got a DMM it should be pretty easy to check the continuity at the switch (with the power disconnected for safety of course). Let us know what you're able to check. Report
February 22, 200719 yr Author comment_26246 That was it, thanks. I found the fuse, now to radio shack to replace it Report
February 23, 200719 yr Author comment_26259 I don't, pm it to me and I'll drop it in the mail to you tomorrow Report
February 23, 200719 yr comment_26261 The whole thing cracks me up. I mean, shit, the most important thing about comedy is timing, and someone squoze comedy into an animated .gif -- fucking brillo.the reference to the Sugarcubes' song in that little animation is what cracks me up. What reference? Report
