it's a good write up... i just don't agree with him.

Yeah, the things he tends to dislike about the HP1000 are what make me prefer it over the other Grados. But such is taste/preference/whatever, and hence the silliness of trying to assign numerical ratings to something so subjective.

Of all the Grado's he owns, the only one I want is HP1000 The GS1000... Oh my, I honestly don't know what happened there at Grado. I vastly prefer even RS-1 to it..

All the gs1000 love ruined the review for me. I disagree on almost all his gs1k comments really.

I still haven't heard the GS1k, but I'm not in any rush to do so. I heard the HP-2 at a meet and wasn't impressed, but that doesn't mean much. At the same meet I heard the RS-1 and wasn't impressed, and now it's my main can.

you are not in rush you don't like and you are not impressed all by some of the best headphones in the World so. i thought that you may give the ultrasones a shot. they are pretty high end cans and you may dig em or at least think they are less trashy. going by what you are saying if they suck they'll take over top spot as your number one can

I've heard the Ed. 9 and I liked it from my very brief impression of it, but I don't think it'll top the RS-1, for me. After reading Part II of Zanth's review, though, I'd be pretty interested in borrowing a GS1k for a week if someone was so inclined

my dainbramage is showing isn't it? There's a pair of GS1ks selling on Audiogon right now. Might very well be worth checking out and you can always resell them with minimum loss if they don't suit you. I'm just trying to throw out some nice headphones that you could give a shot. I also had the GS1ks, but i don't think i properly amped them which seems to be important with those cans. Man, at least I'm trying here people. I still don't know what my point is. Yeah, I saw the pair over on A'gon and thought about it. I hate plunking down that much just to try it, though, mostly because they don't seem to sell as quickly as a lot of other cans.

they are a little high, but i think you'd have a pretty good shot selling them on Ebay. you'd probably need to be willing to ship them to Europe where they are higher in price to get back to even. anyways, it was just a thought....

A few pieces of advice. If you don't know what your point is and what you're trying to say, you should think about it until you do know, and then express yourself in a clear, understandable manner.
