June 7, 200917 yr I can't believe the blood letting stopped at 5. Fluery was having an off night to be sure and the rest of the team didn't show up until the 3rd.
June 7, 200917 yr Has Pittsburgh gained enough character to overcome being blown out in a game 5? With another foe, perhaps. Detroit has them in a stranglehold and I don't think Pitt can overcome a solid defensive game that Detroit will cover them with. If Detroit scores first, it's done.
June 9, 200917 yr Six more hours until Game Six! Hoping the Wings wipe the ice with the Penguins on their own turf.
June 10, 200917 yr My record is still (almost) perfect but I don't like what my crystal ball is telling me about game 7. Go Pens!
June 10, 200917 yr Go Pens! Word. I like the Wings too, but my chauvinism makes me pick the Pens because of all those Quebec players (Talbot, Garon, Fleury, Letang, Boucher and Dupuis).
June 10, 200917 yr Author The pens are the only team I'd never pull for in any situation, even if they teleported back to 1980 and played the russians.
June 10, 200917 yr I'm only pulling for them because my other choice is Detroit. Hmmmm....I'm thinking temp ban for you all day Friday
June 10, 200917 yr The pens are the only team I'd never pull for in any situation, even if they teleported back to 1980 and played the russians. Why do you hate the Pens? In their actual formation, I agree Crosby is a whiny bitch, but how can you not love, let's say, the Lemieux-Francis-Jagr line of the early 90s?
June 10, 200917 yr that's easy, I'm a caps fan Ah, I get it. Same reason I don't like the Leafs, though these days I have a bit of pity for them.
June 10, 200917 yr Why do you hate the Pens? In their actual formation, I agree Crosby is a whiny bitch, but how can you not love, let's say, the Lemieux-Francis-Jagr line of the early 90s? Because the early 90s line is gone. The current players, though undeniably talented, are flat out annoying as individuals and as a team. Look how they handled Game 5?

Yeah, I agree with that. I was just replying to grawk who said he didn't like ANY Penguins formation. Personally, I don't care too much which team wins in the end because I think both are very talented, but for some sadistic reason, I'd like Hossa to lose.
June 11, 200917 yr Friday night will be great regardless, headphones and hockey or maybe speakers and hockey (the wife will be out of town). One team will win and one will lose and the Cup will be hoisted regardless and that is always a great thing to see. But, Go Pens and then it's back to speculating on front office decisions by the Carolina Hurricanes for the next 3 months.
