And yes, you're right, most headphones "scale" -- they respond well to increasingly better amplification. I think the HD600 are worse than most (in the same way I think the VTGs and the Sony MDR-7506/-V6 are better than most, in that they scale very little).
November 9, 20169 yr The reason I like VTGs and JH13s is they sound basically as good straight from my iphone as from most amps.

November 9, 20169 yr Yeah, but...it has to be across the entire frequency spectrum, as both impedance and sensitivity are both frequency dependent.
