December 14, 200619 yr I?m going to hold out to see which format wins. I?m on my 4th SACD/DVD-A player, and I?ve just committed myself to purchasing a 5th (SACD/CD Only). I?m really not that critical of video performance. Not to mention the fact that I don't watch that many DVDs. Odd considering that I have about a thousand of them.
December 14, 200619 yr Author Excuse me for being blunt but, how much? Got it from www.valueelectronics.com for $450, this included 2 free HD-DVDs, and Toshiba is offering another 3 free HD-DVDs on a seperate offer...

I decided that I am only going to rent (Netflix stocks HD-DVDs) so if this format looses in the long run, I will not have invested in a personal library, just the cost of the player. In the mean time there are over 150 titles out, so the pickin's are improving.
December 14, 200619 yr I have the 200 dollar HD DVD player for the 360 and wow... its like putting on a pair of glasses. I also do the Netflix renting since they are still too expensive. I also don't want to get stuck in a format but I do believe HD DVD will in fact come out on top.
