  1. I'm not sure if the humor translates, but there is a thread with this title on the Big Lebowski forum, which always makes me chuckle. I guess because I have a sick sense of humor but still view life as a precious gift even though I realize that our existence is fleeting. It's not meant to be disrespectful to the newly dead; quite the contrary. The idea is to pause for a moment to honor the lives of those who have touched our lives in one way or another through some form of notoriety or celebrity status (be it music, the arts, entertainment, sports, politics, science, whatever). This way, there won't be a need for threads like the one I started tonight: "RIP L.C. Geenwood" in which 63 people viewed, said "Meh..." and moved on. This is not, however, the place to post if a relative or close friend has passed, for whom you wish to honor separately, or if someone like Michael Jackson or Princess Diana dies suddenly in a shocking way. More of a "some fuck or another" who added meaning to your life, but may or may not be known to others.

  2. Last night I grilled the first T-bone off the steer we butchered last month. Possibly the best steak I've ever had.

  3. If you snuck into the park and rode the road invisibly and didn't get eaten by a bear because they all know the cops are all gone.

  4. Can we post their name here before they die? I have a few candidates in mind.

  5. I would post the question on Head-Fi and wait a week and get whatever has the most votes.

  6. Vicki, JP and Raffy will probably do something like 2.5k miles over the course of the weekend. I think Mike, Justin and I will do normal rides, 40-60 miles. We are having a training ride this weekend, Saturday probably.

  7. I'm still amazed that someone just claimed that the only thing wrong with Mikhail's builds were under-specced transformers.

  8. I one time found myself in a similar situation to you, with a set of 'stat headphones but no amp(s). Instead of my headphones singing to me, I sang to them. When I got an amp they did not forget it and sang to me very lovelyly. Buy whatever you want/can find quickly as a holdover, and get a BHSE when you can. Not joking.

  9. I am starting the prep process for the Sebring HC Cycling Team event. Set up a 3D fit for the Calfee for Wednesday and started researching Sebring shops to set up an appointment for someone to put my bike back together when I get it down there, in case I decide I can't get it back together myself. Probably going to switch the Calfee to the Mad Fibers for the trip so I am hoping this all fits in the case.
