Happy Hour "Nibbles"

Wow. So last night my friend Ricardo showed up in mixlr chat. I haven't heard from him in like 5 years. He was the studio tech on my Saturnine mix. I mentioned in mixlr chat that earlier this week I got inspired to work on a followup mix. I actually had an idea many years ago called "Dissociative" but I shelved it. I make no promises, but I'm going to blow the dust off my notes for that project and see about rebuilding it from the ground up. Don't exactly "stay tuned" but tune in next Friday for the usual.

I'm having one of those days. Sadly nostalgic Santana - Moonflower [1977] I discovered yesterday that one can listen to Tidal lossless streaming using Audirvana+. Surprisingly the sporadic cuts went away. I won't dare to defend that sound quality is better, probably it's the same as using Chrome, but I'm finding it more enticing. I have yet to test if this way it's able to play gapless.

1. Opinions vary but to me the SR-007 Mk1 is a bit soft, the SR-007 Mk2 with port mod is close to neutral and the SR-009 is on the bright side. 3. The advantage of Blu-Tank over a fitted piece of plastic is that the Blu-Tak can mold to any small irregularities and form an air-tight seal, whereas there may be some small gaps with a printed plastic piece. As the whole idea of the port mod is to seal off the port completely, Blu-Tak should do a better job.
