  2. If anyone wants to watch the first COVID concert of this thread, Nick Cave's Idiot Prayer, see below. I still think out of all the concerts I saw, and I saw more in 2020 than any previous year, it best encapsulates the lockdown virtual concert experience.

  6. Lisey's Story. I hadn't heard anything about it. Ran into it on Apple tv. It's a Stephen King story. It's a limited series, 8 episodes. When I saw the cast I knew it had to be worth a watch. Dane Dehaan, Clive Owen, Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Julianne Moore. It's Stephen King, so your not going to understand what's going on, but stick with it. I'm on episode 6 (unfortunately 7 and 8 haven't aired yet), and I'm hooked. Episode 7 airs tomorrow.

  7. Oh man, so many things about this video: A genuine boomer talks about two of the most legendary boomer muscle cars that only boomers can afford. This guy displays both serious boomer knowledge about the Daytona and the Superbird while exhibiting serious boomer mic quality. Seriously dude, you've got half a million in cards right there, you can spring for a frickin' lavalier mic. I may or may not have mentioned it some time in the last 13 years I've been on HC, but in the late 90s I briefly dated a girl who's father collected what is these days several million dollar's worth of vintage Mopar ...on a janitor's salary in the 1980s. He had multiple Superbirds, Daytonas, Hemi engines sitting in crates, etc etc. She quickly proved to be a batshit insane manipulative liar, but I always liked her father. Also, I have held the belief for decades that the Daytona is actually cooler than the Superbird and I think this video reinforces that notion.

  8. Given the large number of DAC and headphone companies out there, a lot more are going to go under. All covid did was speed up the process.

  9. Dropped Peter off for his two-week Outward Bound trip, returned our shitty rental car and now sitting in the Delta lounge awaiting our flight to Atlanta which leaves in a little under 12 hours. I like this lounge because they let you mix your own cocktails. If Delta goes out of business next week, you will know why.

  10. In the last three hours I've found out Eastern Electric is out of business, Resonessence Labs is out of business, Lavry hasn't brought a new dac to market since the DA11, and Macs stopped including toslink outs. When does the madness end?
