  1. @swt61 @TMoney If you are interesting in AK life, Northern Exposure is available to stream on Amazon. I have vague memories of liking it from when it was on, and it turns out to be pretty good.
  2. Finished Rogue Heroes yesterday.
  3. I thought this started strong, but by the end I hated it. Less up its own ass than season 2, but only just.
  4. I didn't hate it, but I thought the ending was crap. At least the part you know I'm talking about. One thing that might have had me liking it more than some was the way they got village life above the Arctic Circle so much better than most. I feel like they actually did some research.
  5. Picked up a LNIB D90, a few tb sdxc cards, a few 32gb sdhc cards, a couple Sigma Art lenses, and an n8008 with a vintage 28-85 AF (I just wanted the lens, got the camera for free), and some Ilford to shoot in the free n8008. I think I’m done for now! I think I went camera crazy. Stuff is just so *cheap.* It will all be used. D90 and 28-85 will be perfect for Heather. N8008 is a solid camera, and handier than my FM2. Never shot with Sigma Art 35 and 85, so should be fun. Leica might arrive today, and I can’t wait! P.S. Forgot the Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 AF
  6. Lady Blackbird on Saturday night in Pine Plains, NY, in a small, newly renovated venue called The Stissing Center. Intimate set with just her guitar/piano player/producer/co-writer Chris Seefried:
  7. 1 point
Monday morning wrist check: Chopard LUC XP in grey gold. A wonderful daily wear watch that I rarely wear. 7.2mm thin. Wears like a dream.
  8. Picked up a Nikon D40x with 18-55 kit lens in basically BNIB condition for $100 shipped. This is for my stepson. He has been shooting with his iPad Mini for years, so this should be a big upgrade. He turns 11 this year, and I think the D40 body will work well for him. I bet he outgrows auto pretty quickly and will want me to explain photography to him. Plus now he can help shoot the wedding!
  9. Live Bathurst 12 Hours race in Australia at Mount Panorama (starts in about 30 minutes):
  10. In and Out would be a great name for a gay bar catering to closeted homosexuals. There could be a coat check up front, where you check your Carhartt jacket for a nice sequened number. Piped in Toby Keith music in the entry way, would give way to Donna Summer upon entering the dance floor. Pictures of rugged Hollywood stars in the entry, like John Wayne, James Cagney and Rock Hudson would give way to stars like Paul Lynn, Charles Nelson Riley and Rock Hudson in the main bar. Employees in the front room... Employees in the back room...
  11. Just gonna leave this. From the Breville.
  12. Crepes (Not show savory) Show - sweet - lemon juice and sugar
