  1. My BIL treated us to a birthday dinner at a new "live fire" restaurant, Creedence. Live fire is all the rage in H-town these days. Fortunately, the service, drink and food were very good. I figure they'll be better in another month or so as they've only been open a month... Bone-in ribeye, BBQ shrimp, stuffed red snapper and coconut cream pie were a few of their dishes... HS
  2. Did you have Fred Flintstone over for dinner? Looks fantastic!

  4. That is really sad to hear and see! Whitney is a great guy and I still think of him when I listen to Iron & Wine and other music he introduced me to. Sending good thoughts and hope for improving your life Whitney! Thanks for letting us know, Ric. ☹️

  6. As a gay man I'm happy to see that a bunch of dangling sausages is equally appetizing to us all. I feel as though we've found some common ground here. I'm a little disappointed not to see any rump roast though.
  7. Prepping for homecoming tailgate on Friday. Made a batch of cheddar jalapeño and maple apple havarti sausage. Pair of prime briskets ready roll.
  8. Slow Horses (AppleTV) - finished s1, started s2... Again, late to the party, but after finishing Ted Lasso, I figured my ear was already trained for a variety of British accents, so... I probably should just put everything that Pars, Grahame, Torpedo, & blessingx recommend onto my watch-lists.
  9. I doubt he'll see this, but back in the early headphone days, especially in the Bay Area, Whitney was a regular. I know plenty remember him from those early meets. Great guy and always incredible music suggestions. After peeling off, he reshowed in my world from this Stanford Medicine article - The Puzzle Solver. With today's HC birthday reminder I looked up his web site and see he's posted a few recent videos to his YouTube channel. He has had a very tough time with severe Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS). Saying happy birthday Whitney, but also bringing those who were not aware up-to-date. https://www.whitneydafoe.com
