  1. It was yesterday, but niece Dorothy and I walked the dogs in the newly renovated redwood grove nearby. Nate actually walked through this park before the additions of new paths and boardwalks and such. Anyway, there was a storm recently when a fair number of trees came down. This one is not particularly large but it was big enough. Remarkably shallow the roots for such a sizeable thing. These are not the greatest pics, but I'm wondering if anyone has the ability to count the rings...
  2. Friday we saw the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Tanglewood Choir perform Beethoven's 9th. So far the only live music event I have been to that made my heart race. When the choir and soloists all stood up in unison to perform the fourth moment, I was shook.
  3. Last Night, Went to the Napa "Lighted Arts Festival" https://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/napa/napa-lighted-art-festival-downtown/ Where we walked around downtown Napa in the cold and dark and light drizzle, seeing art that looked best in the dark, but don't left me put you off. Here are some of my pictures to give you an idea - the Press Democrat photographer arguably did a better job. But I did manage to capture the projection art (arguably the highlight) so you can see it of you don't make it tonight ( the last night of the projection art) It certainly manage to a attract people to downtown Napa, both the local families, the Napa Lifestyle Destination Dining crowd, and us. Afterwards we enoyed a Lamburger, fries, beet salad, local beer and usual (not shown). The new Costco was closed by the time we arrived. so another time. No opening bargains for us.
  4. Once again Willie says Fuck You to the Country Music Establishment. To be one of the biggest Country icons on the planet, and do a duet with Orville Peck would be considered career suicide for most. But Willie does what Willie wants to do! I never thought that I could gain even more respect for this man, but I just did. I can only imagine how many young gay men and boys this video will positively impact.
